We pause today to honor the life and legacy of Beverly Walker — the first female director in the history of the Mighty Voices of Tabernacle.

Every concert carried her musical fingerprint as she directed songs that blessed and lifted hearts. She was more than a gifted director and alto; she was a true daughter of this ministry whose dedication to gospel music touched generations. She helped build the choir sound in gospel music.

Sis. Beverly was instrumental in the building and growth of Craig Memorial Tabernacle under the leadership of the famed Craig Brothers, sons of our founder, Rev. Charles Craig II.

Until her very last breath, Beverly remained committed to the success and future of the church she loved.

She also traveled with the legendary Rev. James Cleveland, Rev. C.A. Craig, II, and the choir, helping to shape the rich sound and spirit of gospel music.

We are deeply grateful for her years of faithful service, excellence, and commitment to the Kingdom of God and to this ministry. Her presence and legacy will forever remain a cherished part of the Mighty Voices of Tabernacle.
