acknowledged his call to the ministry in 1981, while under the leadership of the late Rev. Eugene Guy of New Bride Baptist Church. On June 8, 1997, he was ordained at New Rising Star Baptist Church, where he served as an Associate Minister for 12 Years under the late Rev. In 1998, Elder Melvin Brown Jr. was commissioned to Pastor a portion of God's flock. After 6 years of preparation, on January 2

2, 2004, God spoke a word to him and said the church will be named MOUNTAINTOP MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL. February 22, 2004 at 10:00am, God gave the release to organize the church. On Sunday, May 2, 2004, exactly one year after Elder Brown joined in fellowship with New Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Pontiac, under Bishop William H. Murphy Jr., the first worship service for MountainTop Ministries International was held at Hosmer Elementary School. The church remained at Hosmer until June, 2005. Over the years, God has made provisions and MountainTop Ministries has continued to worship the Lord. The grace of God yielded MountainTop Ministries its own edifice, where the first service was held on Sunday, June 7, 2015. "Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory..."

We are grateful for everyone who attended and helped make this event so special. A heartfelt thank you to our guest speaker McCartha for delivering such a powerful, inspiring, and Spirit-filled message. Her words encouraged, uplifted, and reminded us of God’s amazing grace and faithfulness.

Come and experience a beautiful gathering where hearts will be uplifted and spirits are refreshed. “Sips of Grace” is more than a tea party—it’s a moment to pause, connect, and be reminded that God’s grace is sufficient in every season.
