Bishop Wilkins teaches about GOD in flesh - The Lord Jesus Christ

For generations, Christians have faithfully supported orphanages as a way to fulfill James 1:27, but leaders are now urging the Church to rethink that approach. According to the World Evangelical Alliance, most children living in orphanages worldwide are not true orphans but have living parents or relatives and were separated primarily because of poverty. Research shows institutional care can leave children vulnerable to emotional, developmental, and social struggles.

Rather than abolishing orphanages, the WEA is calling for a shift toward family reunification, foster care, adoption, and strengthening struggling families. If God “places the lonely in families,” should the Church invest more in keeping families together than building institutions?

Pastoral ethics and integrity are foundational to a thriving ministry. Church leaders are entrusted with guiding others in faith, providing counsel, and representing biblical values in both their personal and professional lives.

(7) Serves others expecting nothing in return

Christian leader qualities include a heart of service. They truly love and value people and want to help others for the good of the one being helped, not necessarily for personal gain.

The qualities of a christian leader, as indicated in 1 Timothy 3:1-15 and Titus 1:5-9, should be the core of the approach to leadership.

💥GREAT ARTICLE FOR PASTORS💥
(Be encouraged 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽)

“Here is the hard pastoral truth: one reason nearly every town in America has more than one church is that no pastor is equipped to be everyone’s pastor. You can work hard to close the back door, invest in discipleship, tighten your follow-up process, and still lose people. Not because you failed. Because of who they are.”

“People leave churches for many reasons, including unmet expectations, relational conflict, life transitions, or a mismatch between their values and the church’s direction. Some leave because they were never fully committed to begin with, while others leave after a genuine wound that was never addressed. Understanding the reason matters because each situation calls for a different pastoral response.”

(How should a pastor respond when someone leaves the church?)

“With grace and without guilt. Not every departure is a pastoral failure. In some cases, helping someone find the right fit elsewhere is exactly the right call. When someone leaves well, bless them. When someone leaves with criticism, resist the urge to defend yourself publicly. Pray for them and move forward.”

Some visitors will leave no matter what you do. Learn to spot these 5 types of short-term church attenders before you burn out trying to keep them.
