Muslims of Detroit! Allah ta Baraka wa ta Ala says in Suratul Maida:

وَتَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚ

"Cooperate with one another in goodness and righteousness, and do not cooperate in sin and transgression."

This group is dedicated to highlighting the good effort going forward in the Metro-Detroit Area. We are the place for information about the classes, events, activities and other efforts going on in and around the city. So often people miss out on activities they would have liked to support because they do not know when or where they are taking place. Our intention is to help these blessed efforts by keeping everyone informed and encouraging them to get involved!

We will do our best to bring you information from reliable sources regarding the activities of various masaajid and Islamic Organizations in a timely manner. In sha Allah, this will assist the community in joining and benefitting from our collective efforts. This world needs an active Ummah that is striving to enjoin good and forbid evil. We can not afford to be a place holder generation sitting on the sidelines. May Allah grant us taufeeq to strive with a noble striving to be a force for good in our day and time, Ameen!

✨We are offering an online series beginning on Monday January 15th InshaAllah.

2️⃣Two sessions to choose from:

- Basic Tenets of Islam - This is the recommended foundational class for all those beginning the learning journey towards Islam, what will be covered? Pillars of Islam, sources of Islamic knowledge, pillars of faith, etc.

- Fundamentals of Salah - This series will cover pre-requisites of prayer, ritual purification, why do we pray, understanding what we say when praying, praying in congregation, etc.

Please keep our prayers for those who are sick and shut-in, those who have lost their loved ones and sincere prayers for our community.

We send our deepest condolences to the family of Imam Raqeeb who was here visiting last week and was here to be a part of resolving issues that have been affecting our community.

Alhumdulilah, we have benefitted greatly from Imam Raqeeb's brief presence in Detroit. His mother passed away on his way back home.
