Fifth Episcopal District, within the State of Michigan. Our belief, in accordance with the tenets of our international denomination and the teachings of Jesus Christ, is based upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the Chief Cornerstone.(Acts 2:1-12; Eph. 2:19-20

With heartfelt sympathy, the Great Lakes Conference mourns the loss of Bishop Michael T. Martin. Bishop Martin faithfully served as Council Chairman, formerly known as the Michigan State Council, in the 1990s. His leadership and legacy will not be forgotten, and he will be greatly missed.

We are keeping his wife, F/L Maxine Martin, his children, and the members of Gospel Tabernacle Church and Victory Apostolic Church families in our prayers during this difficult time.
