As part of Sunday's service, Rev. Emily will offer this blessing for those in the LGBTQIA+ community, taken from I Will Bless You and You Will Be A Blessing. It's a beautiful blessing that could be offered by anyone, at any time, as an act of care for those who identify as LGBTQIA+.

The services on Sunday, June 7th, will include elements from I Will Bless You and You Will Be a Blessing, Revised and Expanded 2015, which includes beautiful Episcopal marriage rites with fully gender-inclusive language, expansive theology, and scriptural references to committed relationships that are non-heterosexual, as presented to and authorized by the 78th General Convention of the Episcopal Church, 2015.

Ledyard Hall is the home for team hospitality for the race teams during the Grand Prix. Christ Church is in the middle of the course, so we can't have services, but we love that our spaces can be a part of the action!

REMINDER! The Detroit Grand Prix will be roaring around the church on Sunday, May 31st. Christ Church is literally in the middle of the track, and is completely inaccessible. Both services will return to their usual schedule on Sunday, June 7th!

Things are speeding up around here!

It seems fitting that these red & yellow Columbines are blooming at Pentecost, as the folded petals are reminiscent of a flickering flame. If the Spirit so moves you, wear RED this Sunday, May 24th, for Pentecost!

The Sibley House native garden is waking up, and the plants that were newly planted are flourishing! The red & yellow columbines are prolific self-seeders, and need very little to thrive, as you can see from the one growing vigorously in the seam of a basement window!
