Word for Wednesday ✨
Favor. That’s what many of us want. The nonbelievers probably seek favor from anywhere except God. While believers prefer favor from God than anywhere else.
Nowhere else can we find authentically unbiased favor. Somewhere between grace and mercy we find God’s favor. Grace comes to us unwarranted and the mercy we receive is undeserved. Favor, however, is available to us but it has strings attached.
For those whom we ask of favors, the contingency of receiving them is that we remember to return the favor. If the favor is never returned to the one who has shown love to favor you, then it is like stealing sweet waters.
God tells us that we should not steal. It’s one of the commandments He gave to Israel as they embarked upon freedom. Many people have stolen from God because they have not shown God favor in return. If you are facing unfortunate circumstances that leave you in a state of confusion, consider returning God’s favor.
Show God favor in praise rather than procrastination. Show Him favor with worship rather than worthless words. Show God favor with praying rather than playing. We owe God favor because we certainly cannot afford to repay God for grace and mercy.
Yours because of Christ Jesus,
I remain,
