There are times when you think that God is not interested in helping you. Although Job was smitten by challenges that tested his faith, he was reluctant to believe in his friend’s opinions but trusted God instead.

Friends who love you do their best to help you when you appear distraught, disappointed or depressed. You should never be discouraged because God is helping you even when you do not see it. Always remember to take everything to God, even when it seems as if you are swimming upstream.

You don’t have to get caught in the undercurrents of life’s streams because God is very observant of your situation. Your life preserver is knowing that nothing is too big for God. Your situations or circumstances are not complicated to God. God sees you, hears you and has already worked it out for you.

Your focus should be on what you must render for all of God’s blessings. Be sure to keep your heart filled with God’s love because it strengthens your faith and gives you the ability to accept God’s will more courageously. Be of good cheer today and never dismayed because God will still take great care of you.

Word for Wednesday ✨

Fearless trust in God establishes a foundation beneath you where fear has no power. God encourages you to be strong during times of danger because He gives you power to overcome fear. God has not given you the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

The light of God and the strength of His salvation provides you with the ability to withstand all adversities. You must declare within yourself that God enables you to have authority over the enemy. Because of God’s power, you are never battling alone. Oftentimes, God fights the battle for you but He wants you to realize that He has equipped you for every challenge that comes your way.

Psalm 27:1 says that the LORD is your light and salvation and there is no one or anything to fear. The scripture goes on to say, you shall not be afraid because the LORD is the strength of your life. Having God as your light, salvation and strength, you have the divine components that it takes to remain stable. You will be victorious in the face of conflict or fear because of the power and presence of God in your life. Be fearless.

Word for Wednesday ✨

“For a just person falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief” (Proverbs 24:16). Be encouraged as a child of God when you stumble, trip or make mistakes.

You should learn from your mistakes because they can help you to grow stronger and wiser. True wisdom starts with knowing yourself, understanding who you are and having self confidence in your abilities. Rumi, the poet says, “yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

The change starts within you. When you recognize that God is in you for the purpose of guiding you, therein is where you find strength to make adjustments of self. God’s power is absolute and believers are called upon to rely on His strength. Psalm 62:11 says, “God has spoken once; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God.”

Therefore, trust in God when you make mistakes and be wise in learning that you can become more powerful when you change yourself by listening to God more closely.

Word for Wednesday ✨

The art of progress is that you do not have to be perfect to move forward. Progress requires movement but not perfection. Small progress is still progress whether you see it or not. Although you are not perfect, perfection is within those who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Christ lives in those who believe in Him and we are nothing without Him. Such is life. It doesn’t get easier but each day is intended to make you stronger through Him who is in you. We as believers must learn from our mistakes and grow from resiliency. It is ideal to remain true to yourself by trusting in Christ as you figure things out.

You are stronger than you realize and today is another opportunity given to you by God to get a fresh start. The songwriter reminds us of God’s presence when he says, “morning by morning new mercies I see.” That is to say, big goals require a little more time and effort than smaller objectives.

The small steps that you take to reach your goals will add up over time. Every effort, whether successful or not, brings you closer to where you want to be. Therefore, keep moving, continue striving, believe in yourself and trust in the LORD with all of your heart.

As we come together, we are reminded that being united in Christ means we do life together, share generously, care for one another, grow together in Christ, and make an impact in our community.**
