6-30-2025 / Home, Home on the Range
Jesus tells us that he does not have a home, a cozy little spot where he can get away from the world. He is not about getting away from the world. Imagine going to a tropical paradise and avoiding the sun, the ocean, not liking the heat at all and spending all your time watching METV in the hotel room. Jesus was sent! And so are we. To find people and share God with them through thought, word, or deed. God has paid the postage. You are ready to go.

6-23-2025 A Multitude of Demons
Our Church year is centered around Jesus but now we enter the time where we focus on what followers of Jesus are supposed to do without Jesus physically here. We see Jesus casting out demons and we do the same. When we are with people who have something that keeps them from reaching their potential, we are casting out demons. Addictions, bad decision-making, mental health concerns, social barriers, all can be seen as modern demons. Take a bow. We can do this. A friend of mine who was a psychologist once said that the best thing he once did for a person he was counseling was to tell his client to have a “nice day.” Can you help someone have a nice day?

Three in One God
I have a Swiss army knife (made in Japan, I think) and I have used every blade that it has. God is not like that. A knife is a knife with different parts. We believe that there is one God but also three different Gods at the same time. Not one God with different parts. One God and Three Gods all at once. We do not know how this can happen. Maybe like a three-way Siamese triplet? Our experience of God is that God creates, saves humanity from itself by being human, and is the life (energy) of the universe.

6/9 Full of the Spirit
We say God is everywhere. God never claims that for Godself, but God does claim us as a place to live. God’s Spirit chooses you for a place to live here on earth. Part of the reason God is alive in this world is because of you. Thank you.

June 2 Monday Meditations from Pastor Bob
A parade is a bunch of people walking one after another on the same path. As a kid I was part of many parades, for scouts, school groups etc. We were told we had to show up at 9:00 to be in the 10:00 parade. For God’s parade you can join in year 32 or year 2025, and until you do Jesus is praying for you. For a parade has a front and a back, but we are all part of it.

Day late due to Holiday

People are starting to accept that people are made up of bodies, minds, and spirits. If you do not take care of all three, you will be miserable. Breathing techniques can be great for feeding all three. They can clear your mind, center your body, and allow your Spirit to catch up to your body. One of the oldest names for God is “Yahweh” which said properly sounds like breathing in and breathing out. Try breathing this week to keep your body alive and your Spirit too!
