This Sunday, September 6, we’ll gather for worship and celebrate Holy Communion!

And if you can’t join us in person, don’t worry—you can worship with us online! 💻📺
Even better: you don’t need fancy communion supplies at home. Jesus didn’t give the disciples a shopping list. 😂

So grab whatever you have:
🍞 Bread? Perfect.
🥨 A pretzel? Jesus can work with that.
🍪 A cookie? We’re not here to judge.
🍇 Juice? Great!
☕ Coffee? Well… let’s talk about that one. 😉

The point isn’t what’s on the table. The point is who is at the table—and Christ invites us all.

So whether you’re sitting in a pew, on your couch, or trying to keep the dog from stealing your communion bread, you are welcome at Christ’s table. ❤️

Join us this Sunday beginning at 9:15 am for worship and Holy Communion!

Come as you are. Bring your hearts, your hope, and—if you’re worshiping from home—whatever happens to be in the kitchen! 😄

SUNDAY MORNING PSA: SLEEP IN! 😴☕️

This Sunday, August 30, Detroit Lakes UMC and Hawley UMC are joining together for worship at Hawley UMC! 🎉

10:30 AM — Yes, you read that right… 10:30!
(For those of us accustomed to 9:15, this is practically a vacation. 😉)

We’ll worship together, celebrate our shared ministry, and then continue the fellowship with a potluck luncheon following worship. 🍲🥗🍪

And if you can’t join us in person, you can still worship with us online! Click the link below to join the livestream.

Come for the worship. Stay for the food. And enjoy that extra 75 minutes of sleep(not accounting for additional travel time)! 😄

Through photos, stories, and reflections, Pastor Leslie will share highlights from this meaningful journey — exploring the history, places, and people that have shaped our Methodist tradition. It will be an opportunity to learn more about our roots, deepen our faith, and reflect on how God continues to call us forward today.

Whether you are a lifelong Methodist, newer to our church family, or simply curious about the story of our faith, we invite you to join us!

Come travel along (without needing a passport!) as we celebrate the story of our Methodist heritage and the ways God continues to move through our lives and our church. 🌿❤️

After being out of town, Pastor Leslie is finally back where she belongs… in Detroit Lakes! 😄

Join us this Sunday at Detroit Lakes UMC for worship, fellowship, and the comforting knowledge that our pastor has returned from her travels. 😉 We’ll gather at our usual time, and if you can’t join us in person, you can worship with us online!

And don’t rush off after worship! Pastor Leslie will be sharing about her recent American Methodist Pilgrimage experience—stories, reflections, and probably more than a few pictures from the journey. 🥾⛪️
