In 2005, Barbara was called to
start a prayer ministry and founded United in Prayer, a community prayer group for DeSoto, Texas. That ministry later grew into First Tuesday which meets monthly in churches to pray for local governments, businesses, and churches. From 2007 to 2013 she served as the Director of Women's Ministry at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. She is currently serving as a Leadership Consultant with the Dallas Baptist Association. She also remains active in women's ministry so she can speak to you with a fresh voice of someone who has experienced many of the same challenges you do in ministry. Barbara has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the University of North Texas, a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Dallas Baptist University, a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a education ministries focus from Dallas Baptist University.
