BUILDING YOUNG MEN FOR CHRIST THROUGH COMMUNITY SERVICE! 🙏🏾

Every 60 days, the Junior Deacons of Community Missionary Baptist Church come together to serve our community through a town center cleanup. This service project gives our young men the opportunity to practice keeping DeSoto beautiful while demonstrating faith through action.

Through community service, they are learning the importance of commitment, availability, accountability, and communication—the four foundational pillars that guide their development as young Christian leaders.

Our goal is to help these young men grow in character, leadership, spiritual awareness, and brotherhood while encouraging them to serve others and uplift Jesus Christ in everything they do.

We are proud of our Junior Deacons for giving their time, working together, and helping make our community a cleaner and better place.

BUILDING YOUNG MEN FOR CHRIST! 🙏🏾

The Junior Deacons of Community Missionary Baptist Church gather every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. for classes designed to build character, strength, spiritual awareness, leadership, and brotherhood.

Our goal is to develop young men who understand what it means to walk together in faith, encourage one another, serve others, and most importantly, uplift Jesus Christ in everything they do.

These young gentlemen are being developed around four foundational pillars:

COMMITMENT • AVAILABILITY • ACCOUNTABILITY • COMMUNICATION

We believe that when young men are given biblical instruction, strong mentorship, clear expectations, and opportunities to serve, they can become powerful examples of Christian leadership in their homes, schools, churches, and communities.

Brothers walking together. Growing together. Serving together. Uplifting Christ together.

This morning, the Junior Deacons of Community Missionary Baptist Church, along with their parents, came together for the DeSoto Town Center Cleanup — and what an amazing time it was!

From 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., our young men worked diligently, fellowshipped together, and proudly did their part to help keep the City of DeSoto beautiful. We are extremely proud of their commitment, teamwork, and willingness to serve the community.

A special thank you to all of the parents for your support, participation, and encouragement. Your partnership continues to make a tremendous difference in the lives of these young men.

Job well done, gentlemen!

We want to take a moment to give kudos to an amazing group of young brothers from the Jr. Deacon Ministry! 🙌🏽

On yesterday, 4/26/2026, these outstanding young men participated in—and were in charge of—all three worship services. Their leadership, commitment, and presence did not go unnoticed!

We are truly proud of their growth and development, and we give God all the glory for what He is doing in their lives. This is a special group of young men, and the future is bright!
