Helping Us Communicate More Effectively
As our First DeSoto Church Family continues to evolve and stay connected through multiple communication channels, we need your help in keeping specific church-related information organized and accurate. đ
COMMUNICATION REQUESTS
If you have information that needs to be included in church communications, please send it directly to: [email protected]
This includes newsletter articles, event announcements, ministry updates, schedule changes, altar flower requests, and publicity requests.
Using the Communications email address helps ensure that all communication requests are received, tracked, and handled promptly. âşď¸
Requests sent to the communications directorâs personal email accounts, text messages, Facebook Messenger, phone calls, or through another person may be delayed or overlooked.
Sending requests to the Office email risks them being overlooked or deleted due to the number of volunteers we have using the office computer each week.
If it concerns "Church" communications, please send it to [email protected].
NOT RECEIVING CHURCH EMAILS?
If you are not receiving church emails, please send an email to [email protected] rather than asking another person to report the issue for you.
If you are asked to report an issue that someone else is experiencing, the best way to help them is to provide them with the Communications email address and encourage them to send an email detailing their issue.
Because every email provider is different, troubleshooting is most effective when we work directly with the person experiencing the problem vs. a âgo-betweenâ friend. đ
Many email delivery issues can be resolved quickly by checking:
⢠Spam or Junk folders
⢠Promotions or Updates tabs (Gmail users)
⢠Email filters or blocked sender lists
⢠Full mailboxes
Please note that church staff cannot access personal computers, email accounts, or internet providers. We can only send email communications to the emails we have in our church Outlook list.
However, we will gladly help you identify common causes and suggest possible solutions. We can do that most efficiently when we hear directly from the person experiencing the issue.
Thank you for helping us keep church communications organized and effective for everyone.
