JBA Ministry Academy will be back and in full swing the Fall of 2025. We took a step back to evaluate and reformat things a bit, will update you as things come along. But rest Assured the Ministry Academy will be back.

Registration closes on Friday for classes. We currently have 5 registered for the Preaching Class (we need 6) and due to a cancelation we have no one registered for OT Interpreation (we need 6). If you have been planning to register and just haven't please do so by Friday January 12.

We are offering Intro to Preaching (currently 3 signed up) and Old Testament Interpretation (currently 1 signed up). Classes begin January 27th and the deadline to register is January 12. Please remember in order for a class to become official we need to have 6 persons registered for that class.

Just to let you know the quality of instructors we are providing for the Ministry Academy. This Spring our Instructor for Intro to Preaching is Dr. John Greever. Here is a bit about Dr. Greever:

Ministry Experience
Dr. Greever has been pastoring Baptist churches for over 50 years in four states.

Education
Dr. Greever holds three earned degrees:
Bachelor of Arts
Master of Divinity
Doctor of Theology

Teaching Experience
Dr. Greever has taught in college and seminary settings for approximately 30 years, including 23 years teaching at the Missouri Baptist University.

For many of the 23 years, Dr. Greever taught expository preaching at MBU.

We are offering solid classes, led by capable and highly qualified instructors for very little cost.

It is official. WE WILL be offering Intro to Preaching this Spring. The course will be taught by Dr. John Greever. So our two classes for this spring are Old Testament Interpretation taught by Terry Coker (this is NOT OT survey like we offered before, this is a deeper dive into the OT) AND Intro to Preaching taught by Dr. John Greever. Registration for the Spring Semester is open. We will be offering only 1 class this semester. Old Testament Interpretation. This will be a general overview and highlight of the major historical and theological themes of a specific OT book or Genre, focusing on and helping the learner grasp the story of the book (or genre) in light of the whole OT and in light of redemptive history.

This class will be taught by Pastor Terry Coker, Associate Pastor at FBC Fenton. Please Register by Friday January 12, 2024.

Cost is $100/ student, does not include text books...

Unfortunately we did not have enough register for the Intro to the New Testament Class this fall and this class has been cancelled. The Intro to Pastoral Leadership Class has had 8 Register so this class will begin as scheduled. You can still sign up if you choose to.
