🙏🏾 God of many names,
God of LGBTQIA+,
God of divine love,

We thank you for Pride Month, a vibrant celebration of courage, truth, and love.

Thank you for our LGBTQIA+ community – le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, intersex, asexual, and all who live beyond labels -- who inspire us with resilience and authenticity.

As an ally, I pray for strength to stand with them,
to honor their stories, to build a world where love knows no bounds, and all are free to live and love fully. Amen.

An excerpt from "God Holds On To the Cast Out" by Rev. Gilbert Martinez on June 21, 2026.

"Pride Month needs to continue if people still ask why it exists. Pride Month needs to continue if LGBTQ people are still being cast out by families, churches, communities, and even lawmakers. Pride Month needs to continue if equal rights are still treated as something controversial rather than a basic expression of human dignity. Just as Hagar and Ishmael were sent into the wilderness, many people today know what it feels like to be rejected for who they are. Yet the good news of our faith is that God hears the cries of those whom others have cast aside. The wilderness does not get the final word. God does."

This Pride Sunday, we reflect on Jesus’ words: “Whoever welcomes you welcomes me.” Faith was never meant to be weaponized against people. We are called to welcome, affirm, and love one another as beloved children made in God’s image. 🌈

We're honoring Juneteenth today!

"On June 19, 1865, Union Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas to announce General Order No. 3, declaring that all enslaved people in Texas were free—more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation had officially ended slavery in Confederate states."

What happens when the people who should love us most let us go?

This Father's Day, we explore the story of Hagar and Ishmael—a story of abandonment, rejection, and a God who refuses to leave anyone behind. While families may fail, God's love remains steadfast, hearing the cries of those cast into life's wilderness.

Join us as we discover the hope found in a God who still holds onto the cast out.
