Dear Friend,
Shavuos is the holiday when we celebrate receiving the Torah — not as a one-time event from thousands of years ago, but as something that continues every single year. Each Shavuos is a new opportunity to reconnect to our heritage, our values, and to something bigger than ourselves.
In a world that feels more distracted than ever, Shavuos reminds us to slow down and make space for meaning, community, and spirituality.
We invite you and your family to join us for Shavuos services, the reading of the Ten Commandments on Friday, May 21 at 11:00 am and our annual luxurious Garden Party Kiddush — a beautiful afternoon of good food, warm company, and Yom Tov spirit.
An additional reading of the Ten Commandments will also take place later in the day at the Jewish Family Experience with Chabad Cares and Chabad Jewish Center of Park Ridge.
Yizkor memorial services will be recited on Shabbat at 11:30 AM, as we take time to remember and honor the loved ones who continue to inspire us.
Wishing you and your family a joyful Shavuos and that we merit to receive the Torah this year with joy!
