On the south side of the Tower of Memories there is a “Juliet balcony” that was removed during the restoration and it was discovered that it was made in Italy when the Tower was first built in the mid 1930’s. The metal work was sandblasted and then repainted to match the similar appearance of the original color.

Our Serenity Garden is just to the right as you enter the cemetery and is our cremation only garden. It also features a beautiful excerpt from the James Whitcomb Riley poem entitled, “Away”.

“I cannot say, and will not say that he is dead- he is just away. With a cheery smile, and a wave of the hand he has wandered into an unknown land.
Think of him still as the same, I say: he is not dead- he is just away!”

There appears to be a lot less traffic flowing through the cemetery since last Monday! We had thousands of vehicles (3,800 if you want to be specific) entering the cemetery from Monday (May 18) thru Memorial Day.
Thank you to all of you that visited and for the many kind compliments that the we heard from you. It is always so encouraging to know that the efforts and hard work is appreciated. We also take note of how we can improve and make things better for you. Thank you for your continued trust in us.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our annual Memorial Day service.

Seeing so many families, veterans, and neighbors standing side-by-side to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom is what makes this day so profoundly meaningful.

Special thanks to everyone who dedicated their time to make today’s tribute so incredibly moving.

Our fresh flower bouquets are available today until 4:30pm. Do you know someone that could use some flowers to cheer them up on this dreary Tuesday? We have just the thing!

As promised! We have beautiful flowers for sale by the cemetery office. It’s cloudy and maybe a bit stormy but we plan to have our flower cart all through Memorial Day. These are designed to fit inside our most common memorial vase but can also be given to your loved one to brighten their day. Each bouquet is $20 and the profits go directly to our Tower of Memories restoration fund. Have a great Monday!
