The Methodist Church of Mexico reaffirmed its historic relationship with The United Methodist Church by continuing the concordat covenant between the two churches. During the Methodist Church of Mexico’s General Conference, delegates also elected leaders and set priorities for the next quadrennium. California-Pacific Conference Bishop Dottie Escobedo-Frank, one of two United Methodist delegates to the assembly, celebrated the denominations’ shared Wesleyan roots.

From Sunday School accompanist at age 10 to beloved presence at weddings, funerals, and senior choirs, Brown's gift has always been freely given. Now 86, she's preparing to play her final notes before moving to the Tri-Cities.

The United Methodist Church and The United Church of Canada have approved an interim covenant affirming each other's clergy and opening the door to full communion, with a formal proposal planned for both denominations' 2028 assemblies. The agreement reflects growing United Methodist migrant communities in Canada, including First UMC of Canada in British Columbia — led by the Rev.
