We believe that people are empowered by the Holy Spirit to tell the world around them about Jesus. We understand this empowerment to be distinct from and subsequent to salvation. The Holy Spirit fills each believer continually with increased power for Christian life, testimony, and service. We also believe the same gifts of the Holy Spirit that were at work in the firs

t-century church are available for the strengthening of the Church today. Unfortunately, the word charismatic oftentimes has a negative connotation in the church world (usually associated with bizarre/unbiblical experiences and extravagant TV evangelists, which we do not endorse). Charismatic, however, simply means "gifted" and that is our desire as a church body - to be supernaturally enabled by the Holy Spirit to make a difference in our world for Jesus! We are Pentellectuals
We believe that everything God did in Biblical times, He is able to do today. The Bible says to "taste and see that the Lord is good" (Psalm 34:8), and so we are open to Biblical Spirit encounters. However, we believe anything that the Spirit does, harmonizes with what the Word of God says. Jesus said the Great Commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 22:37). We desire to be fully Biblical and fully open to God's Spirit (in other words, we desire "orthodoxy on fire").

🔥 WHAT AN AMAZING SUNDAY AT First Church of the Open Bible!

Today was absolutely AMAZING! 🙌 We witnessed lives being changed, hearts being surrendered, and people taking the powerful step of baptism!

The Holy Spirit showed up and showed OUT today! There is nothing like watching people publicly declare their faith in Jesus and take that next step in their walk with Christ. 🌊

“Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4

What a blessing to be part of what God is doing! Jesus is still changing lives! 🙏🔥

Kids Camp 2026 – Day 4 Photo Dump (Final Day) 🎉💚

What an incredible way to wrap up an unforgettable week of Kids Camp 2026!

Today’s big idea was: Carry the Jesus Jam to the whole world! 🌎🎶

Jesus didn’t call us to keep what we’ve experienced to ourselves. He called us to go! Matthew 28:19-20 reminds us to make disciples of all nations, and 2 Corinthians 5:20 reminds us that we are Christ’s ambassadors. The message is simply too good not to share!

Don’t let what happened at camp stay at camp. Take the joy, the worship, the friendships, and most importantly, Jesus, back into your neighborhoods, schools, communities, and families. Tell others what God did this week, invite your friends to come with you next year, and keep the Jesus Jam going long after camp is over!

What an amazing opportunity this week has been. I’m completely exhausted, but it was worth every second. These kids make it all worthwhile, and watching them grow in their faith is something I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Two Dudes and a Bible for pouring into this generation and faithfully sharing God’s Word all week long.

Most of all… Praise Jesus! 🙌💚

Kids Camp 2026 – Day 3 Photo Dump! 💚🙏🏼

What an incredible night at Kids Camp!

Tonight’s big idea was: “Don’t Mute What God Created.” God created every child with a purpose, a voice, and a calling. They are His masterpiece, uniquely made to shine for Him.

📖 1 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

📖 Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

📖 1 John 3:1
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”

We had an amazing time with Sunny and Bacon, plus Two Dudes and a Bible, who brought the message in a fun and powerful way. The best part of the night? Watching so many kids ring the bell after giving their lives to Jesus! 🔔 There is nothing better than seeing young hearts choose to follow Christ.

We wrapped up the evening with a slumber party and a movie night watching Monsters University until about midnight. What a fun way to end another unforgettable day!

God is moving in a powerful way at Kids Camp 2026, and I’m so thankful to be a small part of what He’s doing. All glory to Him! 🙌
