"And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses."
Acts 13:39 KJV

"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law."
Romans 3:28 KJV

We are justified by faith in Jesus. Justification is the truth that God is just in declaring the believer just despite our performance, our behavior and our transgressions. We can stand before the Lord fully exonerated from the wages of sin through our faith in Jesus and his finished work.

God loves His creation with all of His heart. He wants to show us kindness and mercy. He wants to take us out of the wilderness of life and adopt us into His own family, to be His children, and to sit at His table with Him.
But, many are rebellious. We rebel against God when we look for acceptance apart from Christ. What are we to do? Sin is part of our existence. Everything outside of Christ is sin. If we wander away from Him and pursue a disastrous course of action, our choice will bring us into hardships. Without God's Truth, humanity sinks into depravity as we base our worth on our own effectiveness bringing insecurity and fear. When we count on our own performance, we are doomed to fail. The mind set on the flesh is death. Many feel abandoned, avoided, abused, and alone. God came down from Heaven into the lowest depths in order that the most wretched and fallen should know and feel that God in His love had come near to them in order to lift them out of their misery. He shared in all sorrows of humanity, and was wounded, oppressed, maligned, and afflicted in sympathy with man. He cleanses the conscience. He heals the broken heart. But, many are not receptive to the Truth. "Sanctify them with Your Truth". The course of consciousness must be altered. We must shift the center of living off of self/others to God. Otherwise, we surely can feel abused, misunderstood, and taken advantage of. It happens. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. There is satisfaction in what God gives. But, when tied up by the enemy, they pull our strings wanting us to perform. They keep you caught up in your own production to keep you from experiencing the love of Christ who waits for our companionship. Satan is a deceiver and he wants us to think that acceptance is earned by our performance. He can make us feel as if we are out of step all the time. We can try to appear as if we have our act together, but we can become slaves to fear of failure. Jesus is the only One who can cut the strings and make us free. Sin shall not be your master. You are not under law but under grace. You don't have to focus your attention on your performance. You are free to choose the God's Love that is waiting for you. We are protected and set apart by Truth! There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. God wants us free from tormenting feelings of condemnation. It can take a lifetime to grasp the love of God. We miss the mark when we fail to believe that God is taking care of us and when we try to find satisfaction elsewhere. We should be confident that our sins will never be greater than His mercy. There must be a ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐˜€ from self effort to trusting God and being willing to let Him transform us. If you do well won't your countenance be lifted up? You will feel acceptable. Willingly accept subjection to Christ and come under His Authority. He covers us with His righteousness. God's Way of salvation fills the heart with love. Our hearts are to be fixed and centered on Jesus. No partial leaning. True faith leans wholly on God, and seeks dependence no where else. It is foolishness to depend on creation or to try to go at it alone.

Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no man comes to the Father, but by Me". Believers are destined to be "conformed to the Image of God's Son". We are not to fashion ourselves after the ways of the world.
The world is forbidden. Being entangled in old ways holds us back. Only God can drive out the delusions of the enemy. God must do the work. He treads down false loves. Being conformed into the Image of Christ includes suffering, rejection, and death. "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His deathโ€ (Philippians 3:10). It's not about achieving perfection through our own imagination. There must be a shift away from our own will. Conformity leads to death of self. "Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him". By faith in our position in Christ, we turn from self within, having died to sin and self. Conforming implies changing a pre-existing pattern into some other pattern. God has order and a Divine Pattern. Simplicity in Christ means having our thinking braided together without our thoughts darting off in every direction. It is the trimming of our wicks with a focus on Christ. Trimming is continuous work that is done by God. The wicks must be trimmed so they do not burn too hot and too fast. Some wicks are smoldering. A smoldering wick God will not s***f out. He is looking after us and will give us the oil to fuel the flame. Only Jesus can fan into flame ๐Ÿ”ฅ the smoldering wick. He repairs all that is broken within us. We convert our hope from self to the Lord who acted for us. Stay fixed upon the King!

Sanctification is NOT a life long process. Sanctification is a gift.

We who believe, we who have placed our trust and faith in Jesus as our only source and our only hope of salvation, receive a bundled package.
1 Corinthians 1:30 NASB95
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€ and ๐˜€๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ณ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป, and ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฝ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป,

After all โ€ฆ 1 John 4:17 NASB95 tells us, โ€œBy this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, ๐˜€๐—ผ ๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜€๐—ผ ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜„๐—ฒ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—น๐—ฑ.โ€

2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become

Romans 3:21-22 NKJV
But now the righteousness of God ๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜ ๐—ณ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—บ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜„ is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, [22] even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;

I think we simply have a definition of terms difference.

Sanctification is not a process of becoming perfect or sinless which we achieve through our own efforts with the help of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is a recognition by God regarding us, because we are in Christ, that that we are set apart for his purposes and we are acceptable.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
2 Thessalonians 2:13 NASB
But we should always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth.

You see? Sanctification isn't something we earn through our own efforts at trying to improve ourselves. Sanctification isn't about behavior modification. Sanctification is imparted to us by the Holy Spirit because of our faith in Jesus as the only true way to the Father.

Hebrews 10:10 NASB
By this will, we ๐ก๐š๐ฏ๐ž ๐›๐ž๐ž๐ง sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time.

We are sanctified through faith in Jesus.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
Acts 26:18 NASB
to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.โ€™

The Holy Spirit sanctifies us.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
Romans 15:15-16 NASB
But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given to me from God, [16] to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

Believers are considered sanctified saints.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
1 Corinthians 1:2 NASB
To the church of God which is in Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

We are not sanctified as believers because of what we do. We are sanctified because of where we are. It is not about performance. It is about position. Where is the new covenant believer positioned? We are positioned securely in Christ.

What many are calling โ€œsanctificationโ€œ is really better phrased as โ€œgrowing in Christian maturity.โ€œ Of course, as we walk with the Lord, we do grow in Christian maturity. Walking with the Lord after 5 years looks entirely different than when we first began walking with the Lord. That though is not sanctification.

Sanctification, as Iโ€™ve already shown, is not a state of sinless behavior it is a state of sinlessness perfection before God! We are saved, justified and sanctified all by God declaring us so by his grace through our faith. When he looks at us to judge us, he sees the sacrifice, the lamb of God, and it is fully accepted.

Do we deserve it? No! Thatโ€™s grace.

A cheerful heart is good medicine. A beautiful life comes by the Truth and application of God's Word. The Holy Spirit prescribes what we need. It is a regimen of purification and healing to keep us fit so that we may be presented to the King. There is separation from the world and the need to seek applause and praise. All spiritual life and growth is based on the Lord Jesus who is the Source of our life. In Him, life is perfect.
๐™Š๐™—๐™จ๐™š๐™ง๐™ซ๐™š how the lilies of the field grow, they do not toil or spin. Jesus clothes our shame in garments of beauty. God's work rests on our nothingness and misery. God placed the believer in Christ whether he is aware of it or not. The one who comes to see his position in the Lord Jesus experiences the benefits of all that He is. The believer who knows grows into a beautiful life.
We stand upon a threshold daily. The old life needs to be torn down. Day after day there was an attempt to make "bricks out of sand and straw". Even when we double up our efforts, we fail to produce results. God brings us into conditions so that we see that the world has nothing to give. He wants us to leave that old life behind. Our place is in Christ. He doesn't want us wandering off. If we wander we find ourselves betrayed by counterfeit loves. God shows us that they have nothing to give and the famine to bring us back to Himself. Before we are delivered, we always question if we should leave. Something keeps us enslaved to false love until God pulls us out. He is the only One who can separate us from the old way of life. The false things we cling to for validation need to die. God must do the work. There are various deliverances in trying places. Be still. God opens up the Pathway back to Himself. He reveals that in us "nothing good lives" and we accept the Lord Jesus in His fullness as our Perfect Life. We exhibit God's glory by resting in Him.

Shock and awe.

Grace appeared to all. It does not demand righteousness from us but brings us righteousness. God wants us to know. His love is sweet. Sweeter than anything we have ever known. Seeing his high and mighty love delivering a deep level of relief sometimes late in life can bring about shock and awe. We can feel bemused, bewildered, delighted!! And not only that, we are informed that we can have spiritual children even into old age. We can laugh to ourselves saying, "how can this be"? It's not what we expect. Pleasure in old age?!
There is a type of impotence that makes life flat and uninspiring. It is usually acquired in childhood through authorative imposition. It causes our spirit to whither and plays on our fears of failure and rejection. God came to deliver us out of the ๐™—๐™–๐™ง๐™ง๐™š๐™ฃ widerness of this life. He comes looking for us. He will not allow us to whither away to death. We may find pent-up anger and frightened feelings lying just below the surface. There is resistance when we want to surrender. The overwhelming weight and heaviness of suffering is difficult to carry well. Those who are self centered are hindered by the darkness of their condition and while in a downward trend, the Holy Spirit presents the Truth to overwhelm us with the Light of our righteous position. When we feel that we are loved by God, we blossom and open out to life. Jesus wants us to turn away from a dead end life to a Life that flourishes. He wants us whole and not broken. He wants us to be a picture of health and vitality and beauty and satisfaction. God's grace is for purifying our hearts and cleansing us from sin. We serve God properly when we are confident in His love. See yourself as accepted and dearly ๐™ก๐™ค๐™ซ๐™š๐™™ and all of your spots and wrinkles will ๐™›๐™–๐™ก๐™ก ๐™–๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ฎ.

Circumcision is a part of conversion to Judaism. Because circumcision requires cutting of the flesh and shedding blood, it is a sign of the blood covenant. Once a person makes this covenant with God it is to be kept. But, be prepared, because the requirements of that law are impossible to keep. If you seek to be justified by the law (circumcision) then you would have to keep the whole law.
Repentance from "dead works". There is a change of Masters. It is switching allegiance from our old life of self effort to coming under Christ's loving Authority. It is a termination of our old way of living by being a "doer" of righteousness by humbling ourselves to God's Way of Life and acceptance through the death of the Lamb of God. Repentance isnโ€™t something we work up and use to get right with God. Jesus already made that happen. He acted for us. What happens when we turn to Him? It's finding that He took care of us. It's a shift from our will to God's will. God's will for us is that we believe in His Son and depend on Him. The Kingdom is made available to man by the promises of God not by works of the flesh. The only real circumcision that matters is the one made ๐˜„๐—ถ๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ๐˜€, that is, the circumcision of the heart accomplished by the Lord in the renewal of His followers. We are to enter into this inner circumcision where we learn complete and utter dependence on the Lord and come under His authority and righteousness. Jesus accepted Godโ€™s judgment by bearing the sin of the world on the Cross and we come to the end of ourselves and to the end of our self-sufficiency. God provides all we need. He gave us His Son. We are called to be His companions. It is spiritual adultery to go back to relying on the old nature. When we walk after the flesh we distance ourselves from God like an estranged wife. Because we are married to Christ we can give up working. Repentance from "dead works". Jesus took on the curse of the law so we could cross over from death to life
โ€œThough I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews"....Paul took Timothy with him to minister to Jews, he had Timothy circumcised. To pass through the religious gate keepers, we learn to remove the barrier of our own will. The greatest barrier to peace is the flesh. Love will strip you of yourself. Confident in God, not self confident. For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh.
