Broken hearts are like sieves that have trouble holding onto and grasping the love of the Lord. In God's own time, He brings us where we need to be. God Himself seals us in with Christ. But, our minds are not sealed.

Ephesians 3:19 tells us to "know the love of Christ which passes knowledge" that we may be "filled with all the fullness of God". We are to be more enlightened day by day. We know not how to pray as we ought. Only the Spirit knows the deep needs of every one of us.
On the surface, we think that we are fine. But, the Spirit broods over the deep. Jesus has eyes like flame of fire and He sees us through and through. He sees our anger which is equivalent to murder, and lust which is equivalent to adultery and envy which is equivalent to theft, and so on. What we think is kept only in our minds ends up leaking out and becomes part of our actions. Our sin finds us out. Everything outside of Christ is sin. All we can do is come to God in our weakness and we find that He is is in the Divine love which protects, and forgives and delivers us from corruption.

Just as a sieve separates the valuable from the worthless, we are encouraged to let go of all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander, along with all malice. But, there can be no lasting cure until we let go of the root cause that fractures our lives. Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength.

God calls us out and separates us. He scrutinizes our path and His winnowing fork is in His hand. He will take us down to the threshing floor so we can get things sorted out. He drives out the delusions of the enemy. He treads down false loves. God separates us from the chaos and the things that cause turmoil within. In the depth of my own emptiness, I heard God's Word and I returned to the One who loves me. 6, 7, 8, 9 is the sealing motions of God's Hand. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, His Blood cleanses us from all of our sins. When a person believes, he enters the Blood Covenant with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. The Blood Covenant is an everlasting covenant that absolutely cannot be broken. When a person receives the Holy Spirit, He seals the person (6, 7, 8, 9) in the Covenant.

The Blood covering of Jesus is a deadbolt that keeps the old man out. We belong to the Lord. He wants us to turn away from the dead end life. He wants us whole and not broken. As the Holy Spirit illuminates the beauty and love of Christ, we increasingly learn to reject the flesh and deepen our rest in the Lord becoming rooted and grounded in Him as our Source of Divine Love. Vessels of mercy carry the Divine Love of God in the heart and the mind and proclaim life saving Truth.

We believers receive the blessed Holy Spirit, the writer and giver of the law. He leads us into all the truth, just as Jesus promised.

So, I have two important questions.

Do you trust what Jesus said about that to be true?

Do you believe you are being led by the Holy Spirit?

If so, then let go of leaning on your own understanding of what the commandments are telling you to do and not do. Stop trusting yourself and your own efforts to adhere to the law and instead lean into the law maker.

Stop listening to those who want your focus to be on you and your sin. Keep your focus on our object of faith... Jesus.

I love what Luther said about faith.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
Martin Luther wrote that, โ€œFaith is a living, bold trust in God's grace, so certain of God's favor that it would risk death a thousand times trusting in it. Such confidence and knowledge of God's grace makes you happy, joyful and bold in your relationship to God and all creatures. The Holy Spirit makes this happen through faith. Because of it, you freely, willingly and joyfully do good to everyone, serve everyone, suffer all kinds of things, love and praise the God who has shown you such grace. Thus, it is just as impossible to separate faith and works as it is to separate heat and light from fire!โ€

Hebrews 6:4-6: For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Now who is this passage referring to? It is referring to those who have been given a new name. Those who are called Christian have tasted the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit testifies and bears witness to our own spirit that we are children of God.

God does not want us to miss the mark of the beautiful Life that He has prepared for us in Christ. He does not want us to fall from the heights of His good will for us. We need to accept ๐—š๐—ผ๐—ฑ'๐˜€ ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐˜† which is through Jesus and not self. We are ๐—ก๐—ข๐—ง equal to Him. We come under ๐—›๐—ถ๐˜€ ๐—”๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜๐˜†. Only the Spirit can separate us to God.

God is in control and He gives His children allowance. The flesh is weak and there is an allowance built in for that. We cannot go outside the bounds that God has fixed for us. Our choices can alter our lives. But, only God can alter our existence. The Holy Spirit breaks the control of sin and brings us to Christ, lifting us up to a perfect life. God's love overcomes as He seeks to draw all men to Himself. He gives us new hearts that are soft and supple so that we can begin to grasp and understand the Divine Love of God. He gives us a pliable heart that we cannot help but to feel the pull of His love. He draws us to Himself. If we try to extend our freedom beyond the bounds that the Father has fixed for us, He will "pull in the reins" and create the circumstances that bring us back to Himself. God's grace is sufficient. Those who God seals are absolutely sure of victory for we follow the Lamb to the Cross and death of self. Crucifixion of self and complete trust in God who will not let us fall away. Falling away would require a person to crucify Christ anew and put Him to open shame by saying His sacrifice was not complete. God wants us to fully comprehend the magnificent truths of the Scriptures that we are deeply loved, totally forgiven, fully pleasing, totally accepted, and complete
Even though the work is complete in Christ, we grow by faith and enter into Truth which is accessible. Self is to be put off. We are to be Christ's completely.
We become complete when we adequately know the peace of God. We are to feed on our completeness in Christ. Assured of of our justification, reconciliation, and acceptance in Him. Rooted and built up in Him. Abounding in thanksgiving. Everything we need is complete.

The power of indwelling sin is in humanity. It threatens our health and well being. It's a horrible disease that won't go away. God is in control. There are those who hear the glad tidings of the Gospel and yet unaffected by what they hear. Some find it hard to swallow and they take no joy in it. Others have been deeply wounded and it takes time for the love of God to pe*****te their broken hearts.

The Spirit must first crucify the flesh before we can taste the sweetness of heavenly joy hidden in the Word. โ€œTake My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULSโ€
"The words that I speak unto you", says the Lord, "they are Spirit and they are life". We are to apprehend what the Lord is saying. As we desire to hear Him speak and find pleasure in His words, He awakens our consciousness. The Holy Spirit lifts us to a life of perpetual peace and consciousness of God's acceptance, approval and love. This is the testimony of the hidden Spirit who witnesses to the Divine Word and gives testimony to our spirit. The name and testimony are called new because they are the blessings of the new birth.

As we hunger for God's Word, we are given new messages from Him. God has given us the living Bread from the House of Heaven and Manna that sustains. "I am the Bread of Life". The Manna sustains us in the wilderness of this world as we make our way back Home. The Holy Spirit clarifies the Bread. Taste and see that the Lord is good. As we taste the sweetness of Christ's Life and find comfort in Him, it makes the tongue, the fingers, and the feet free and ready in the delivery of the Divine oracles. Like the woman at the well, we become powerfully affected and we broadcast to others to "come and see". We cannot help but share Jesus. Some shut their ears because they simply cannot understand that God can give greater pleasures than the world. The world is forbidden. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. The forbidden lusts of the flesh will cause our death. The power of indwelling sin is in humanity. God brings us to our senses and the crucifying of the flesh is carried out by the Spirit. Then our whole heart and senses are converted to the Lord, and fixed on Him alone.

Ephesians 2:8-9 NASB
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

The word "works" was translated from the Greek word ฮตฬ“ฬฯฮณฮฟฮฝ, pronounced er'-gon, and it means, according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, "toil (as an effort or occupation); by implication an act: - deed doing labour work."

Works are those things that are seen. Deeds are performed, not merely thought about and not merely believed internally. Therefore, works are not needed to have faith, seeing that we are saved by faith and not by works, and faith is not needed to have works. The two things, works and faith, are mutually exclusive. So then we see that we can have one without the other.

Now, having faith in Jesus brings salvation by the grace of God as a gift. That salvation is not a result of works, that is, efforts or doing any religious acts or deeds. Still, as believers and receivers of such mercy and grace, we who are "born again," ought to show signs of our new life. We do for others out of love, just as we have been so loved by God that he gave to us his only son.

Our faith has saved us, but, if we don't help others, our faith is useless to them.
๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡
James 2:20 NASB
"But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless?

The word "useless" was translated from the Greek word ฮฑฬ“ฯฮณฮฟฬฯ‚, pronounced ar-gos', and it means, according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, "inactive that is unemployed; (by implication) lazy useless: - barren idle slow."

There is nothing more inactive, barren or idle than a co**se. We believers ought to show signs of our eternal life. To not do so is like being dead again. We will not be dead again, so show signs of life. Let the Holy Spirit that is in you work through you to help others. Let them see that faith in Christ has made you alive and active and useful to others. Be a blessing.

If the new self and the old self do not coexist as some claim then why did Paul tell the Roman converts not to be conformed to the standards of this world, but to be transformed inwardly by the renewing of their minds.

But, we can cross over the threshold and begin a new relationship with Christ.

Sin lies at the entrance of the door into the world. We must leave the world behind and cross over from death to life. We are to be free from the influence of this world and return to a perfect state of protection. There is a transition from the old life to the New Life. The "old man" must be put off. Why? Temptation lingers right at the threshold. It begins at conception. We are not to step outside the bounds of God's love, the world is forbidden. Sin cannot work until we open the door to it. God does not want us to miss the mark of the beautiful Life that He has prepared for us in Christ. He wants us to live We can still sin by trying to find acceptance apart from Jesus. Only by resting in the Divine Love of the Lord can we find rest and relief from who we are. Sin's desire is for you. It wants to have its way with you. It wants to be involved with you. But, we can choose to be sin's master by coming under the protection and security in Christ. Choose Him and you will feel acceptable. When you have faith in the Divine Love of the Lord, your countenance will be lifted. You will find joy and you will be released from gloom. His love is to deeply pe*****te our hearts. As we are receptive to His love, feelings of inferiority, condemnation, and fear fall away. Sin lies dormant as long as we don't open the door to it. But, if we cross the threshold back into the world, sin springs to life again.

Are you mixing old covenant thinking with new covenant thinking?

Those who mix the old and the new, those who try to find a balance between law and grace, end up in a false gospel of faith plus works. It seems to them that the blood of Jesus isn't enough. They must add ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ obedience to Jesus' "FINISHED" work.

Some people's idea of faithfulness and being a servant of God turns out to be mostly about ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ. It depends upon ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—บ. It depends upon ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ works. It depends upon ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ faithfulness. It depends upon ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ goodness. It depends upon whether or not ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜† can "endure to the end." It depends upon whether or not ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐˜† maintain ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ relationship with God by works of confession and constant requests for forgiveness.

Sad. It IS very sad.

If that's you, REPENT of old covenant legalistic behavior modification centered thinking that diminishes the power and effectiveness of Jesus' blood and puts the focus on self. We can do NOTHING to save ourselves, and it is certain that we can do NOTHING to keep ourselves saved. Our salvation, and our continued right standing with God, is entirely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus as our only source and our only hope of salvation.

I'm telling you the gospel truth!!

Fighting the devil and his minions.

The name Satan means adversary. He is the "prince of evil'. "Spiritual warfare" describes a cosmic conflict between good and evil. It's quite real. "Tricks of the mind" are tricky indeed. There is a mind battle. Whoever controls your thinking will control your life. God tells us that we are transformed by renewing the mind. We either doubt or trust. There are thoughts that can be very troubling and the devil wants us to follow them. Jesus says, "Follow Me". He doesn't want us to lose our peace and happiness. God's thoughts come to us by His Spirit. When we put our trust in Jesus we are sealed by the Holy Spirit. Nothing can break the seal on our souls, it is protected by the Father's eternal love. Our minds are not sealed though. That is why we are to immerse ourselves in the Lord and ๐˜€๐˜๐—ฎ๐˜† ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—ฑ with Him.

"For we are not ignorant of his schemes". Satan attacks us by reading our thoughts, but can we read his? I have to admit that I have been caught off guard most and have been blindsided time after time. Satan uses the same tactics over and over. We should not be ignorant of his schemes. Satan's thoughts are rebellious towards God. People ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—น against God when they look for acceptance outside of Christ. They end up in vulnerable situations and miss the Message of God's Love. There are millions of deceptive voices calling out for your attention. The Source of Love cries out to us, "๐—–๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ผ ๐— ๐—ฒ" . Everything outside of Christ is deadly to our souls.

The devil is a crafty opponent. Spiritual warfare must be carried on. The closer we draw in near to God, the more the battle intensifies. We are to tell people to open their eyes and turn from darkness to light and from the power of darkness to God. We become a threat to Satan when we minister in the Spirit and he will try to defeat us. Satan seeks to evangelize humanity to his counterfeit kingdom... loving the world and the things of the world. Satan is the ruler of the world system. Revelation 9 tells us about an eruption of demons out of the abyss and suffering caused to those who have not the seal of God on their foreheads. But, those who follow Jesus and stay fixed on Him have God's seal of approval. Many receive the Message of the Gospel with joy and yet have no living root. The Sword of the Spirit has to pierce the heart and cut off the flesh and bring about true conversion where we keep our minds fixed on the Lord.

We choose daily to follow Him. God Himself will keep us in perfect peace as we keep our minds on Him. The Peace of God is the Guard at the that keeps away the enemy. We have peace with God through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Sin is still outside every door. The mind decides to open the door to the sin which is crouching outside waiting to control you. God has sealed us in with Christ. But, our minds are an open battlefield. The Spirit helps us to shift our focus away from temptation. He always points to Christ. If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork....

The world can leave us feeling lifeless.
Our bones were dried up and our hope was gone when we counted on our own performance. We were severed from Christ.

Our Father is calling. His door is open and the Light is on. He gives us everything we need for a Heavenly life.

Go back and prophesy to those dry bones. Hear the Word of the Lord! "I will put My Spirit in you and you will live". The Spirit gives Life. When we live out our union with the Author of Life, the fruit is righteousness, peace, joy, and everlasting love.

Help those who have fallen from grace. No laying down the law. Love as God loves. If you teach the Gospel of Christ you will reap a harvest of righteousness.

The heavens declare the glory of God. Vessels of clay reveal His heart. We praise God and we are blessed by His handiwork. He joined us together with Christ. When we subject ourselves to His work, we show the world Who brings things up from their foundations. God raises children up from the dust.

Jesus is the King who reigns in righteousness. Just as there is the perfection of His Person and His Atoning work, there is perfection in His government. He rules in favor of the poor and needy. He dispenses justice in favor of the poor and His government is as beneficial as rain is to dry ground. He says, "You are loved". "You are Mine". He will raise up the poor from the dust and lift the needy from the ash heap. He cares for us! Jesus said that all power has been given to Him in Heaven and earth. God is able to save us from our sins when we come to Him through Jesus Christ. We are forgiven and righteous because of Christ's sacrifice and we are pleasing to God despite our failures. Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters and spreads out her roots by the river....he shall not cease from yielding fruit. The one who is planted in Christ flourishes. God has already done the work. God's heart fills with joy when He sees us in Christ and His joy becomes our joy, so it is best to keep ourselves under His supervision and approval because we are His handiwork created in Christ.
