There is the true Messiah and there are false messiah's. True religion and false religion. True and false women; one is the Bride and one is the harlot.
God wants a faithful bride and not a harlot. One can play the harlot by relying on the old nature instead of God. He doesn't want us to turn our backs on Him. Don't put your trust in yourself. "But you trusted in your own beauty, played the harlot because of your fame, and poured out your harlotry on everyone passing by who would have it"......
God offers us an agreement and these are the terms: God takes all of our sins and liabilities upon Himself. He forgives all of our iniquities and remembers them no more. He take all of our self righteousness and gives us His own Righteousness which is pure and holy and acceptable. Many reject the Offer by relying on their own obedience. What we produce by self effort will be rejected by God.
There are many who cannot see their need. The moral condition of us all is corrupt whether we see it or not. It's a death like state. Jesus stands outside the church doors and knocks. Only He can heal and open the ears of the deaf and the eyes of the blind. He that has an ear listen to what the Spirit says to the churches. The Holy Spirit cannot guide us into perfection unless He has our whole heart. 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿.
God provides all that we need. He gave us His Son. We are called to be His companions. It is spiritual adultery to go back to relying on the old nature. Cursed is the man who makes flesh his strength. Because we are married to Christ we can give up working. Repentance from "dead works". Jesus took on the curse of the law so we could cross over from death to life. The curse of the law comes through efforts of legalism rather than obedience of faith. Thanks be to God we are declared righteous not based on what we do but who He is. Obedience is a gift of God. He works in us what is pleasing in His sight. God's will is that we believe in His Beloved Son. We choose to be submissive to His will. The Holy Spirit gives us the supernatural faith to believe that Jesus died for our sins and testifies that we are children of God. How may the Spirit be received? It will do no good to cry, "Lord, Lord" while having confidence in the flesh and depending on our own "good works". The Spirit is not received by legal works but by faith acceptance. Purchased by Christ's Blood. God gives the gift of the Holy Spirit to His Bride. There must be whole hearted confidence in God's love. He teaches us to have no faith in the flesh and to exercise all of our faith in Christ. He accepts us not in ourselves but in His Son. God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Justification is in Christ, not in ourselves.
God loves the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. Irritation comes from breaking away from Christ. "You have been loosed from Christ". "Christ is become of no effect". Turned to the bidding of false teachers. Turning back to the old husband and marriage to the law. By the nature of the law we are bound to be condemned. It causes turmoil within. There was nothing of mercy with the old husband. The law is harsh, stern, and heavy handed. Even Moses himself, the founder of the law, broke it just once and he lost the promised land. No mercy! Punishment for wrong and bringing forth death. The law not only represents the 10 Commandments but everything that is based on our own efforts and strength. Grace is about what God can do. For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law but under grace. In Christ, the love and mercy of God can be found. Jesus beheld us in our lifelessness and shame. He looked upon us compassionately. In intense and almighty mercy, Jesus lifts us to New Life. He raises us from the dead. He washes away our stains. He adorns us with His own beauty. He gives us His love. He makes us His wife. Jesus told the adulteress to sin no more. Going back to relying on the old nature is spiritual adultery.
