Join us for our next Everyday ABC Conversation:
Advent in a Post-Pandemic World: Rethinking our Worship
on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 3:00pm ET
with presenters Rev. Dr. Marvin McMickle
and Rev. Mindi Welton-Mitchell.
Advent is the season of watching and waiting for signs of Christ’s presence in our world and in our lives in a new way. In the northern hemisphere, this happens at the darkest time of the year, and it is in the darkness that we see things differently. Darkness is not negative; darkness allows us to see in new ways as we prepare for the return of daylight. In this “pre-post-pandemic” world, what is the darkness revealing to us? What did we learn over the past two years that helps us to prepare for Christ, to recognize the incarnate God in our world and in our lives, as we prepare for a new post-pandemic world?

Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: Everyday ABC Conversations - Advent in a Post-Pandemic World: Rethinking our Worship. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.

A reminder to get signed up for the Women's retreat.
Join us, and others from sister Mid-ABC churches, November 11th and 12th for a weekend in Cedar Rapids, IA for a time of bible study devotions, pampering, chair massages, activities, laughs, worship, and prayer. Use this time to focus on self care, rest, and thanksgiving before the busyness of the holidays. Our inaugural Women's Wellness Weekend was back in 2019 and it was a very well received good time. Please consider joining us this November! Talk to the ladies in your churches and invite a friend to come too.
Registration forms are attached and online registration is available at www.thechurchonnorthland.com

Dear church leaders - we have an amazing opportunity for your junior and senior high students to grow spiritually, connect with other teens from around the region, and learn hands-on ways to become Christian leaders in their church and community.

The Region Youth Event (RYE) is three short weeks away, and runs November 4-6 at The Church on Northland in Cedar Rapids. We are finalizing plans for an amazing weekend with a powerful keynote speaker, inspiring music, and games and activities that will build up your students.

Please pass this email on to your youth leader, and if you have any questions, call the Region Office asap - 515-278-1411 - [email protected].

Registration forms are available on our Mid American Baptist Churches website. To receive an event T-shirt registrations must be received by Oct. 20 at the Region office. Additional information can be found our region website https://www.mid-abc.org/mabc-region-youth

We are excited to journey with your youth as they help grow the Kingdom of God. They have a story to share, and we want to help them learn how to tell it.

Your Region Youth Team
