✨ BIG NEWS! ✨June 2nd marked my 21st anniversary as Chaplain of the Polk County Jail Ministry! I am also thrilled to announce that as of June 1st, we have officially hired Chad De Cleene as our new Assistant Chaplain! Chad is the ultimate answer to our prayers after years of waiting for God's perfect timing. He is already shadowing me, learning the ropes, and stepping up. Chad truly loves people, has a passion for sharing the Gospel, and is a gifted teacher who loves helping others grow in their faith. Eventually, Chad will take over the reins of the ministry. Please join us in welcoming him to the PCJM family!

On July 4, 1776, America declared its independence—but it wasn't actually free yet. It took seven long years of fighting before that freedom became a physical reality.

In life and faith, declaring freedom is often just the beginning. Accepting Christ is a powerful declaration, but walking out that freedom daily takes time, endurance, and battle.

If you or a loved one are fighting for freedom today—whether behind physical bars or struggling against old habits and addictions—don’t give up. The battle belongs to the Lord, and His promise remains true: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” —John 8:36

Happy Father's Day!

For some, today is a day of gratitude and celebration. For others, it may bring memories of hurt, absence, regret, or broken relationships. Not every earthly father has been the example we hoped for, and not every father knows the Lord.

Yet God's Word calls us to honor our father and mother, and when that feels difficult, we can ask God to help us pray for our own hearts and for those who have shaped our lives.

Most of all, today reminds us of the perfect Father we have in God Himself—faithful, loving, merciful, and always worthy of our trust.

"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him." — Jeremiah 17:7

May you know the love, grace, and faithfulness of our Heavenly Father today.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Just as their selfless courage gave us so much, may we also reflect on the greatest ultimate sacrifice—the gift of grace and true, lasting freedom we have in Christ.
