This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Just as their selfless courage gave us so much, may we also reflect on the greatest ultimate sacrifice—the gift of grace and true, lasting freedom we have in Christ.

Some people we serve feel like they’ve gone too far… made too many mistakes… burned too many bridges.

But the truth we carry into the jail each week is this: no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace.

Because He lives, true freedom is possible. Freedom from sin, from shame, from the weight of our past. That same power that raised Jesus from the grave is still at work today—restoring lives and setting captives free.

This Easter, we celebrate the victory of Jesus—the victory that makes all things new.

He is risen indeed!

As we approach Palm Sunday, we remember the day Jesus entered Jerusalem and the crowds cried ‘Hosanna!’—longing for a Savior. Today, that same Savior is still at work, setting hearts free inside the Polk County Jail.
