Help us address hunger and its root causes in the metro and beyond. DMARC is looking for a leader to bolster our public policy, advocacy, and community engagement efforts.

This role is key in helping us tell the story of food insecurity to everyone involved with the legislative process. Help elevate the voices of those affected by hunger to our elected officials and organize other advocates around the most effective ways to address food insecurity at the local, state, and federal levels.

1 hour of your time = 30 families fed. What's your afternoons looking like?

Volunteer in the food pantry and help your neighbors shop. We are looking for individuals or groups to commit a couple of hours on an ongoing basis. Come to one of our next volunteer orientations on Thursday evenings to see if its a good fit for you.

Rain, sleet, or snow… for many people, walking is the only option to get to a food pantry and other essential services.

This week we worked with AARP Iowa to conduct a walk audit around DMARC to identify how our sidewalks and roads can help (or hurt) our neighbors path to the pantry.
