Highland Park will be hosting the hymn sings at the fair today, Monday, August 17. The 11:30 service has already started, but come see us at 6:30 pm at the First Church, located on Grand across from the Susan Knapp Amphitheater!

Early Bird Registration of $200 ends August 22

Registration includes program, meals and hotel-style lodge rooms.

Senior Retreat (55+) is intended to be time away at camp for older adults.

A few of our members made it down to PrideFest for the early morning worship service.

As a reminder, Highland Park Christian Church is open and affirming. As a Disciples of Christ Open and Affirming congregation, this signifies our commitment to full inclusion, meaning LGBTQ+ members can serve in leadership, be employed, and participate in all areas of church life.

Unlike a simple "all are welcome” statement, becoming an Open and Affirming congregation requires a formal, voted-on pledge and study process by the congregation, before a vote or conscious is taken. (Which was done at Highland Park). It moves past simply allowing people to attend; it actively affirms their identity, gifts, and relationships as valid and blessed by God.

The church's birthday party was combined with the 5th Sunday Potluck today! Thanks to everyone for joining and for all the gifts!

Our next 5th Sunday Potluck will be August 30, and we would LOVE for you to join us. We always have PLENTY of food, so if you can't/ don't want to cook, you're still welcome to join!

Come and join us for a Celebration Worship Service as we retire the mortgage on the church's addition on Sunday April 26. It will be a great service of history, use of the building in ministry, guest speakers, and praising God for his continued care as he walked us through this journey!
