Genesis 2 complements the creation narrative in Genesis 1, where creation happens in a more structured, cosmological way. Genesis 1 outlines the creation of the world in a series of days—from light, the sky, and the land, to the creation of humans in the image of God on the sixth day. Genesis 2 zooms in on the specific creation of human beings and their environment.
