Did you know that in addition to hearing world-class Catholic speakers and shopping from more than 50 vendors, you can also receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation? As Father Mike Schmitz famously says, "The confessional is a place of victory." Every time a person celebrates reconciliation, it is a triumph of grace and a win for Jesus over the power of sin. Approximately 1,150 people received this “triumph of grace” during our 2024 conference. Are you being called to the sacrament? Jesus will be there waiting.

We are excited to welcome Sister Medhin Tesfay to the 2026 Christ Our Life Conference. Sister Medhin Tesfay belongs to the Daughters of Charity in the Diocese of Adigrat, Ethiopia. She works with Mary’s Meals in Tigray, Ethiopia, providing daily meals in a region devastated by civil war and drought.

One way to put this into practice is to attend the Christ Our Life conference. Turn off the noise in the world, put away your “to-do” list, and just be in the presence of the Lord. The Lord who longs to spend time with you.

As we enjoy the Memorial Day weekend, our thoughts typically turn to picnics, BBQ’s, a three-day weekend and the unofficial start of summer. But as Catholics, we can elevate this secular holiday by engaging in some spiritual practices. Here are a few ideas.

Pray for the Dead: Offer your intentions or pray a Rosary for the souls of fallen soldiers.

Attend a Memorial Day Mass: Many parishes hold special Masses, sometimes held at a Catholic cemetery.

Visit a Cemetery: Visit the grave of deceased soldiers, lay flowers and pray by name for that fallen soldier.

Pray for Peace: Pray for peace in our world and support the victims and refugees of war by donating to charities such as Catholic Relief Services.

There are 30+ volunteers on the Christ our Life Steering Committee who work behind the scenes to ensure the conference runs smoothly. Some of the committee tasks include arranging speakers, coordinating registration and ticket sales, managing marketing activities, securing vendors, planning the liturgies, overseeing logistics and facility management, developing the music ministry, arranging and troubleshooting the live streaming, just to name a few. These dedicated volunteers give tirelessly of their time and talent because they believe in the mission to bring more souls to Christ. When the conference is over, their work is not. They will soon start meeting and planning for the next conference. A huge thank you to our steering committee members!
