Dear Pastors, Officers, and Members of the Iowa Missionary & Education Baptist State Convention,
Grace and peace be unto you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
It is with great joy and honor that I announce an upcoming visit from our National President of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Incorporated, the Reverend Dr. Boise Kimber, on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
During his visit to the State of Iowa, President Kimber will participate in two significant events:
3:00 p.m. – President Kimber will serve as the Keynote Speaker at the Iowa State Capitol, marking an important moment of witness, leadership, and national presence for our Convention.
7:00 p.m. – A special service honoring President Kimber will be held at Corinthian Baptist Church, Des Moines, where we will gather in worship, fellowship, and celebration of his leadership and service to our Convention.
In preparation for this historic visit, we are respectfully requesting that each constituent church provide a gift of $100 as an expression of appreciation and support for our National President. Checks should be made out to IMEBSC in memo “Dr Kimber”.
We strongly encourage the pastors, officers, and members of our churches to attend and support both events as we unite in fellowship and representation of the Iowa Missionary Baptist State Convention.
Thank you for your continued prayers, cooperation, and commitment to the work of our Convention. We look forward to a powerful and meaningful day in the life of our state and national fellowship.
Yours in His Service,
Rev. Dr. Jonathan B. Whitfield
President
Iowa Missionary & Education Baptist State Convention
