Lord Jesus, through the gift of your Holy Spirit, you fill us with an indomitable spirit of praise and joy which no earthly trial can subdue. Fill me with your resurrection joy and help me to live a life of praise and thanksgiving for your glory. May I witness to those around me the joy of the Gospel and the reality of your great victory over sin and death. "

Today, we remember Saint Joachima, whose life held marriage, motherhood, widowhood, exile, illness, and generous service. She did not become holy by avoiding sorrow, but by trusting God inside it. She raised children, visited the sick, founded a community of charity, and later accepted dependence with humility. Her witness reminds us that holiness can grow in every season, especially when life no longer feels under our control.

Lord, you gave us your teaching and your commandments for a reason—because you want us to make good choices with our precious gift of freedom. You want us to find “the path of life” that we yearn to find. You have not hidden your wisdom and your truth; you have continued to reveal them to us, for our good. I want to follow your commandments. I want to believe in your goodness. I want to help others follow your commandments. But life seems so complicated sometimes. I am not always sure what you want me to do, or how you want me to do it. Keep teaching me, Lord; keep instructing me; keep guiding me. “Keep me safe, O God; you are my hope.”

Therefore thus says the Lord God, "Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone, of a sure foundation: 'He who believes will not be in haste.' -Isaiah 28:16

Lord, sin is always tapping on my door, but you have promised me that your grace will always be available. Help me to avail myself of the means of grace you give me to live in union with your eternal law. Mother Most Pure, make my heart only for Jesus.

"Lord Jesus Christ, let your Holy Spirit fill me and transform my heart and mind that I may choose life - the abundant life you offer to those who trust in you. Give me courage to always choose what is good, true, and just and to reject whatever is false, foolish, and contrary to your holy will."

Lord, where do I fail to see you? Help me to acknowledge your presence in my life. Help me to see and help me to respond. I want to be found by you, Lord.

On this Memorial of Saint Ephrem, we honor the deacon poet whose hymns carried truth into the hearts of the faithful. He taught with beauty, defended the Church with courage, and let Christ shape every word. In a divided age, he reminds us that doctrine can be sung, wisdom can be gentle, and holiness can make the heart fruitful. May our voices become instruments of mercy, gratitude, and praise. Let his witness tune us again to the Gospel.

Thank you, Lord, for inviting me to be your coworker. Thank you for giving me the grace to be light and salt for this needy world. Thank you for giving true, lasting meaning to my life. So often I get caught up in the demands of life on earth and lose sight of the bigger picture. Help me to know how to be salt and light in the midst of my daily activities. Give me a heart like yours, which was always looking for ways to bring people closer to God and put them on the road to eternal life. I want to live my life as your ambassador. I want to invest my time, talent, and treasure in building up a Kingdom that will have no end.

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
