What an incredible kickoff to our Soul Squad Summer Session at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church! ☀️💦

We had over 40 kids join us last night for an evening full of fun & fellowship. We’re excited for our Wednesday Night Lessons all summer long from 6 PM – 7 PM with 9 “wild” lessons ready to enjoy!

A big thank you to Super Kool Slides for the awesome waterslide, Caleb Ramsey for grilling delicious hot dogs, and everyone who brought cupcakes and drinks to support the event! 🌭🧁

The kids enjoyed games with Mrs. Alydia, crafts with Mrs. Amy, great Christian music, basketball, volleyball and so many laughs. We’d love to see you join us this summer! ❤️

Soul Squad • 5/13/26

The kids learned from Matthew about how the flowers of the field do not worry because God takes care of them. 🌸📖

After the lesson, they put their creativity to work by making flower-shaped food art using graham crackers and berries. The kids did an amazing job creating colorful and delicious masterpieces!

A fun night of learning, creativity, and tasty treats while being reminded to trust God and not worry. 💙

Soul Squad had a great time last night diving into the book of Psalms! 📖✨

The group split into teams to search for answers and fill in the fun pitch board that Mrs. Amy put together. Along the way, everyone discovered interesting facts, fun tidbits, and powerful truths hidden throughout Psalms.

Lots of learning, laughter, teamwork, and God’s Word all in one night! 💙

✨ SOUL SQUAD ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT ✨

We are proud of Reese Jeane and Addison Outlaw, two outstanding Soul Squad athletes from Evans High School! These talented young ladies were part of the Evans High School Track Team that earned 1st Place at the Louisiana State Competition! 🏆💛💙

Both earned medals in various events, showing incredible dedication, discipline, and hard work all season long. Their determination on the track and their character off the track make them such wonderful examples for others to follow.

We cannot wait to see what God has in store for their futures. Keep shining, girls — your Soul Squad family is cheering you on every step of the way! ✝️💪🏅

🌧️ Last Wednesday at Soul Squad, the rain may have kept us inside, but it definitely didn’t stop the fun! 🎲🙌

We spent the evening playing games indoors while also digging into an important lesson from ✝️ 2 Corinthians 10:5 about taking captive our thoughts. We talked about keeping our minds focused on the things of God instead of getting distracted by the things of this world.

Sometimes life gets noisy and distracting, but God reminds us to focus on what is true, good, and pleasing to Him. 💙

Rainy nights + laughter + God’s Word = a pretty great night at Soul Squad! 🔥
