The purpose of this church shall be to maintain the public worship of God; to exalt the standard of Christian living and the leadership of our Lord; to strive to lead the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ; to cooperate in spreading the gospel and extend the Kingdom of God throughout the world. We affirm that the Holy Bible is God’s revelation to mankind, and that it depicts the birth, lif
e, death and resurrection of our Savior and therefore is the sole basis of our faith. We regard the scriptures of the Holy Bible as authoritative in all matters of our faith, practice, and principle. The beliefs of this church are in general accord with beliefs characteristic among Southern Baptist people. The 2000 edition of Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention is an accepted illustration of these beliefs.
