Zion has been in the greater Denver metro area for over 50 years under three administrations. The late Suffragan Bishop Roland B. Martin founded Zion Temple Pentecostal Apostolic Church in 1961. Zion Temple Church experienced the greatest sorrow possible with the untimely passing of our beloved Pastor and Founder, Bishop Roland B. Martin, on July 2, 1997. Bishop Martin’s labor of love, many sacrifices, and great contributions left a legacy that continued with the installation of his brother to the Pastorate, Elder Robert E. Martin, Sr., on November 30, 1997. He continued the good work that had begun under the leadership of Founder/Pastor Roland B. In 2002, Pastor Robert E. Martin, Sr., under the leading of the Lord, transitioned to Senior Pastor and his son, Elder Robert E. Martin, Jr.’s season had come. He served as Assistant Pastor under the leadership of his father until 2005 at which time he was appointed Pastor. Zion Temple Church is the oldest apostolic church under the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in Colorado. The ministry is located seven blocks south of Denver’s fastest growing community – Stapleton. With 200+ active members, Zion Temple's goal is to spread the gospel further into the community.
