This is a message from the Director of Grant Ave,
"This is Holy Week and a very sad time for all Christian’s. StreetReach is grieving!! We received a text from Church in The City that we could no longer feed the needy IMMEDIATELY. I can’t understand the lack of compassion from strangers who have no idea how these poor souls try to survive with mental illness, PDSD, Op**te addiction, sexual abuse and the list goes on and on. We pondered this news but we WILL continue to help Christ in the City (feed at Civic park) , New Genesis (the working men’s shelter), Joy’s Kitchen, that helps bring food to more then 5,000 people a month, Family Promise, and a new food bank that may open in Bennett!!! Our options are endless. We will have an incredible toy drive again at Christmas. We gave away over 1,200 toys last year. We will seek out the needy and hand out clothes, shoes, socks, tarps, and sleeping bags. We will do whatever we can in Jesus name. From Mathew 26:41... 'Then he will say to those on his left depart for me you who are cursed into the internal fire prepared for the devil and his angels for I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat I was thirsty and you gave nothing to drink I was a stranger and you did not invite me in I needed clothes and you did not clothe me I was sick in a prison you did not look after me. They also will answer Lord when did we see you hunger or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison and did not help. I tell you the truth whatever you did not do for one of the least of these he did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!!' Praise God. Love and Happy Easter!!"
