Another day, another proclamation 🤷🏿‍♀️💅🏿

Last Friday, Beloveds in our community joined up with Soul 2 Soul Sisters staff and our partners to share in another beautiful Black Maternal Health Breakfast. We're overjoyed that this tradition continues to bring folks who care about Black Birthing folks together in order to honor the work being done in our communities to champion safe, supported births for Black Women, Femmes, Gender-Expansive folks, and their families.

REAL TALK: Black Beloveds across the nation are finding it harder and harder to fit all of their necessities into their budgets. With gas prices increasing, groceries still high as can be, and the prices of every day goods continuing to rise, sometimes our health needs can take a back seat. Enter: The Repro Health Pantry a community pantry packed with information, pamphlets, and yes you guessed it: real products that Black Beloveds needs to care for their physical health. Check out our pantries!

In about a week Soul 2 Soul Sisters will start our annual tradition of CELEBRATING AND HONORING Black Birthing folks by kicking our commemoration of Black Maternal Health Week. Led brilliantly by our staff and the Sacred Seeds Birthworker Collective, we will be celebrating with a variety of events and rituals designed to pour into Black mamas and the Black birthing community at large! We hope you’ll join us for one (or more 😏) of the events. Much love to you 🫶🏿 and see ya soon ✌🏿

LET’S KEEP IT A BUCK! A lot of us are comfortable moving through life not thinking about our neighbors, our communities, and more because we’re told that we have to focus on our individual needs. Just our families. Our friends. But our communities have made it this far in this violent colonial project because WE HAVE RESISTED INDIVIDUALISM and sought to build solidarity! In this moment of despair it is our legacy of solidarity, mutual aid, and care that will save us. Join our challenge and pour love into the community! Why? BECAUSE TO REALLY DO CARE!!

We told y'all once, and now we'll do it again! THE REPRO HEALTH PANTRY IS LIVE! We heard from Beloveds all around the state last year that the affordability crisis was something on our hearts. We worked with several community partners to create these repro health pantries in Denver and Colorado Springs to help out where we can. If you or anyone you know needs a little help getting access to masks, pads, tampons, hand sanitizer, and helpful information around health, these pantries are your friends.

We've got another love-based offering for Black Beloveds coming up this month as a part of our Communal Care Challenge: THE GIFT! Last month, we brought community in for a learning experience rooted in our collective history around healing, community care, and maternal health. This month, we're bringing a variety of dedicated and skilled healers to the Self-Love Journey SO YOU CAN EXPERIENCE THESE HEALING MODALITIES YOURSELF! You'll be able to experience spirit-led journaling, juicing and smoothie making, acu-detox, yoga, hand massages, and more!

Needing a a moment of self-care during these times of heartbreak and chaos? Our people organized, built power, and shaped generations of movements – but they sustained this by deep wells of communal care. So come get loved on and cared for.

We're glowing, we're laughing, we're BEAMING with joy after our Black Education And Movement-Building Day at Colorado's Capitol last week. As snow falls over the city for the first time in weeks, we're drinking warm tea and staring out the window, reflecting on what it means to keep making noise in and outside of the Capitol.

What does Black Power look like in the state legislature, and how do YOU want to continue the legacy of BEAM throughout the year?
