We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who came out to the Fairfield Methodist Easter Egg Hunt & Craft Event!

What a beautiful day filled with laughter, joy, and the true meaning of Easter—celebrating the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. ✝️💛

From the little ones racing for eggs to the smiles shared during crafts and fellowship, it was such a blessing to see our community come together in love and faith.

A HUGE thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped put everything together—you are the hands and feet of Christ, and this event wouldn’t have been possible without your time, heart, and dedication. 🙌

We hope everyone left with full baskets, happy hearts, and a reminder of the hope and new life we have in Him.

Why We Celebrate Easter

Easter is the most important celebration in all of Christendom. While Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ, Easter proclaims the very heart of the Christian faith: that Jesus rose from the dead. Without the resurrection, there would be no gospel, no victory over sin, and no hope of eternal life. As the Apostle Paul writes, “If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile” (1 Corinthians 15:17). But Christ has been raised—and that changes everything.

Easter celebrates the culmination of God’s plan of salvation. On Good Friday, we remember that Jesus willingly gave His life on the cross, bearing the weight of our sins. He died not as a tragic victim, but as a loving Savior. Then, on the third day, He rose again. The resurrection is God’s declaration that sin has been defeated, death has been overcome, and new life is available to all who believe.

For Christians, Easter is not just a historical event—it is a living reality. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work in the lives of believers today. Through Christ, we are offered forgiveness, restored relationship with God, and the promise of eternal life. Easter reminds us that no situation is beyond God’s ability to bring renewal, hope, and transformation.

In the Methodist tradition, we emphasize both the grace of God and the call to live a renewed life. Easter invites us not only to rejoice in what Christ has done, but also to respond—to turn from sin, to trust in Him, and to walk in newness of life. It is a season of joy, but also of commitment and spiritual renewal.

As we celebrate Easter, we proclaim a simple but profound truth: “Christ is risen!” And because He lives, we have hope—today, tomorrow, and forever.
