B'nai Havurah We are a Jewish Reconstructionist congregation,committed to infusing our Judaism with renewed meaning Welcome to B'nai Havurah.

We are affiliated with the Reconstructionist movement, which is committed to the renewal of American Jewish life. Reconstructionists define Judaism as an evolving religious civilization that encompasses history, literature, art, music, land, and language. We achieve this through study, worship and joyous practice, social justice, acts of kindness, and connection with the Jewish people. We are an e

galitarian and participatory community, open to a variety of perspectives and forms of religious expression. Our facility is located at 6445 E. Ohio Ave., in Southeast Denver, one block south of the corner of Leetsdale and Monaco. Our Shabbat services are open to the public and free. Join the B’nai Havurah community in transitioning into the month of Elul through the project “Jewels of Elul”, a yearly project by Craig Taubman that gathers the reflections of 29 people for every day of the month of Elul. This years theme “Before You Judge Me” invites readers to join in a sacred space - one where curiosity , compassion, and listening live.

Join Rabbi Katie and Carla Sciaky on Saturday, August 8th for a Shabbat service dedicated to raising awareness about cancer, as well as providing an inspiring and healing experience for those whose lives have been touched by cancer. All are welcome.

Visit our resource table before and after the service for more information regarding organizations helping those impacted by cancer.

After services, stay for lunch sponsored by Hannah Niederman in honor of their uncle Arthur Goldner.

Join us and Paper Midrash on July 17th-19th for an amazing weekend of programming open to all! The amazing team behind Paper Midrash will lead us in exploring Torah through scholarship, pop culture, and art.

All programming is open to all (with a cost of $18 for Saturdays activity for non members) and will be a great way to connect with new people, Jewish practice, and our community through art and creativity.

Here are some of the gorgeous results from our Mezuzot and Manischewitz event! Thank you to all donors not only helped us cover the cost of our many missing mezuzot, but who also came and created these beautiful mezuzot to adorn the doorways of our space! Our space is much more beautiful with these in it. Next time you’re at B’nai, see if you can spot these nature inspired Judaica pieces!
