Fratres Dei is a queer-owned interspiritual/interfaith private practice offering in-person, virtual, and outdoor spiritual direction, somatic spiritual advising, ecstatic dance, and SD supervision. Fratres Dei provides a platform upon which people of all spiritual traditions and backgrounds may pursue spiritual growth in a dogma-free space. advising, embodied spirituality workshops, ecstatic dance, and spiritual direction supervision. Spiritual direction is the practice of partnering with another to navigate one's spiritual journey or relationship with the sacred. Through counseling-style interaction, directors create a space within which directees may openly, honestly, and safely explore, process, and deepen all parts of their personal spiritual inclinations and longings. Founder, certified spiritual director, and certified spiritual direction supervisor Rachel A. Parsons, MA, has had extensive theological training and meets with individuals from all spiritual backgrounds, including those who do not identify with an established tradition. As a spiritual director, she specializes in body-mind integration, head-heart integration, spiritual or religious transition / deconstruction, spiritual or religious trauma, LGBTQIA+ spirituality (affirming), nonreligious spiritual growth, discernment, intimacy with the sacred, meditation (body and imagination-based), ecstatic dance (see more below), faith crisis, spiritual caregiver / occupational burnout, interfaith relationships, general spiritual growth and exploration, issues of anger with the divine / misotheism, ecospirituality, and spiritual direction supervision. A lifelong student of embodied spirituality, Rachel developed the practice of Body Discernment, a synthesis of somatic therapeutic practices designed to integrate the body into spiritual growth. Rachel takes your comfort very seriously. She creates a hospitable space to encourage authentic reflection, offers video chat and telephone sessions, and is happy to host outdoor sessions that involve short walks upon request.
