Well, friends, it was great for 113 years! We closed as a congregation on June 8, 2014, but we've left a legacy. The Rocky Mountain Conference of The United Methodist Church is considering what new ministries can be housed in the building. I'm September, 2019 the Conference sold the building to St. Francis Center.
"In October, 2013, after months of soul-searching, discussion, and tears, and after years of dwindling numbers and finances, the Administrative Council of the church voted unanimously to close Warren Church on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, 2014. The Annual Church Conference November 3 ratified this decision (and the Annual Conference affirmed it June 21). We celebrate all that Warren Church has meant to thousands of people over 113 years.
"We ended our congregational presence on this corner of Capitol Hill on June 8, 2014, celebrating what it means to be reconciling, loving, and inclusive to all of God’s children."
We have another page at Warren Church. We'll be adding an archive page on a member's personal web site in the next month or so...
