Christ the King,

June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus: a heart burning with love, mercy, and compassion for all people.

Throughout this month, we are invited to draw closer to Christ and rest in the peace of his Sacred Heart.

No matter what burdens we carry, the Heart of Jesus remains open to us, offering comfort, forgiveness, and unfailing love. ❤️🙏

Father Aquila, circa 1979 😄

This photo was taken during Archbishop Emeritus Samuel J. Aquila's time as a parochial vicar at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church — just a few years after his priestly ordination.

We're grateful for his faithful “yes” to God and his service to the Church!

Join us June 5 at 4 p.m. at the John Paul II Center as we celebrate Archbishop Aquila's golden jubilee with Mass, fellowship, free food, and a joyful community celebration. All are welcome!

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations... and behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

As Jesus ascended into Heaven, he entrusted his disciples with the mission to proclaim the Gospel to all nations. The Ascension reminds us that Christ is always with His Church, guiding us in faith and calling us to live as witnesses to His love and truth.

Today is the feast day of St. Matthias!

After Jesus’ Ascension, the Apostles chose Matthias to fill the place left vacant by Judas. Having followed Christ throughout his ministry, St. Matthias boldly helped spread the Good News of Jesus.

St. Matthias, patron saint of tailors and those struggling with alcoholism, pray for us.

"I am the way and the truth and the life." (John 14:6)⁣

Today's Gospel reminds us that when we feel uncertain, lost, or troubled, we are not alone. Jesus is the way forward. To know him is to know the Father, and to follow him is to find peace.⁣

Jesus, help us to trust in you and follow where you lead.

On this feast of Saint Joseph the Worker, we honor the dignity of human labor and the quiet faithfulness of Saint Joseph, who provided for the Holy Family with trust in God.⁣

Through his example, we are reminded that all work can be an offering of love when done with care, integrity, and devotion to the Lord.⁣

Saint Joseph the Worker, pray for us.
