Our Story
On September 7, 2008, Pastor Ryan J. Fontenot Sr. launched Higher Anointing Christian Center (HACC). The vision of this church was to see souls saved and people delivered. HACC’s first location was at 10255 E. 25th Avenue and launched with seven members. The ministry grew by leaps and bounds in the first year of ministry. HACC acquired its first building at 262 N Havana Street where the ministry grew from 20 to over 70 members. HACC then started one of the largest food bank ministries, feeding over 50 families a month which then turned into street ministry and feeding over 300 people every month with a hot meal. Within two years growth and expansion were inevitable. HACC later moved to its Aurora location at 15161 E. Hampden Avenue. It was at this location that GOD proved himself to be in the ministry and what we were endeavoring to accomplish. In one Sunday, Pastor Ryan baptized 22 people. The ministry literally grew over night to a peak attendance of over 150 people a Sunday.
Through many transitions and challenges, we regathered and relaunched the vision of the ministry in renaming our church “THE ROCK” Church of Denver (TRC). That would move us from Aurora to Denver at 901 S. Monaco Parkway. This is where GOD allowed us to renovate and expand our vision of outreach and community involvement. The ministry continued to grow later leading us to 4821 E 38th Avenue. Here TRC relaunched its passionate training institution “Kingdom University”. TRC has trained up over 40 Pastors and Leaders and released them into ministry. It is here that GOD has led us back to accomplish his will in this community. 2016 was an incredible year for our ministry as our Pastor was Affirmed and Consecrated an Apostle in the Lord’s church to confirm that he has been sent to establish the kingdom of God in the earth.
After a historical and defining year, it was on March 31, 2019, The Rock Church made its final transition to The Well Worship Center. An Apostolic Training center that exist to prepare believers to advance the Gospel and live out their true God-Given purpose. We have been blessed to have an amazing leader Apostle Ryan J. Fontenot Sr. and the first family Ka’Riyan, Ryan (Bishop) Jr., Kierson, Raya and King Fontenot.
