Our Fundraiser Fiesta lunch and live auction event is happening this Saturday, April 29, at noon. Doors open at 11:30 am. Tickets are only $25; proceeds will support our after-school programs for children and youth.

Join us for a festive afternoon of food, folklore dances, fantastic speakers, an exciting live auction, and the opportunity to support programs that truly make a difference in the lives of children and youth in the West Denver neighborhoods.

GRACE & LIFE CHURCH “FUNDRAISER FIESTA” LUNCH & LIVE AUCTION

At noon on Saturday, April 29, 2023, we will host our “Fundraiser Fiesta” lunch and live auction. It will occur at Grace and Life Church of the Nazarene, 4201 W Kentucky Ave, Denver, CO, 80219. This fundraiser will benefit our after-school programs, Youth Influencers, and the Academia Mauricio Saravia.

Ms. Ivette Díaz will be our keynote speaker. She serves as Program Officer for Education at Stand Together Foundation, where she empowers communities nationwide to transform education for our nation’s youth. She will inspire us as we raise $30,000 to strengthen and expand our children’s ministries.

Our Denver Westwood Neighborhood is home to over 5,000 children ages 0-18. According to a 2017 Piton Foundation report, 30% of Westwood families and 42% of children under 18 live in poverty. According to a 2021 Chalkbeat Report of CMAS testing, one of our community schools (Castro) only scored 11.5% and another (Knapp) just 14.3% on meeting or exceeding 3rd-grade literacy expectations. The need is dire on many fronts!

Today’s children's emotional, social, and academic needs are increasing. Our ministry, however, has been placed, providentially and strategically, in the heart of Westwood.
