“Only love creates.”

St. Maximilian Kolbe lived these words to the end. While imprisoned at Auschwitz, he offered his life in place of another man. In a place built on hatred, he chose selfless love.

May his witness give us the courage to choose love, no matter the cost. St. Maximilian Kolbe, pray for us.

In today's Gospel, Peter walks on the water while his eyes were fixed on Jesus. When he focused on the wind, fear took over and he began to sink.

We all have moments when fear feels stronger than faith. In those moments, we can pray as Peter did: “Lord, save me!” Jesus hears us and reaches out His hand.

Keep your eyes on Him. He is with you in the storm.

Pope Leo XIV's prayer intention for August invites us to bring the Gospel to the heart of our cities.

In places where anonymity and loneliness can leave many feeling unseen, may we discover creative ways to build authentic community, share Christ's love and accompany one another in faith.

Let us pray for evangelization in Denver, cities throughout Colorado, and beyond.

Today is the feast day of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus.

After his conversion and discernment of his vocation, St. Ignatius of Loyola, along with St. Francis Xavier and St. Peter Faber, founded the Society of Jesus as an order to be focused on both missionary work and teaching, later becoming the first Superior General of the Jesuits. He is also remembered for his spirituality today: "ad majorem Dei gloriam” or “for the greater glory of God”.

St. Ignatius of Loyola, Patron Saint of the Jesuits, pray for us!

Saint James the Apostle reminds us what it means to follow Christ with courage and conviction. He left his nets and followed immediately — one of the first missionaries Christ sent.

Today, that same call echoes in seminaries across Africa and Asia, where young men leave family and security to prepare for priesthood in the Church's youngest dioceses.

May the example of St. James inspire us to live our faith boldly—through both joy and sacrifice.

Blessed are the eyes that recognize God’s hand at work, and the ears that listen for His voice. In today’s Gospel, Jesus reminds us of the privilege of knowing Him. May we not let familiarity dull our wonder but instead receive His presence with renewed gratitude each day.

The Pope took a summer break, too! How are you making time for God on vacation?

This summer, Leo XIV decided to spend part of it on vacation at the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo, becoming the first pope to do so since 2012. The residence has been used by the popes as a countryside retreat for over 400 years, and was a preferred vacation spot of Benedict XVI and St. John Paul II.

Pope Leo XIV has invited the faithful to make time for “meaningful moments of silence and prayer” during the summer.

Ordinary Time is split into two seasons throughout the liturgical year, and we're now in the longer one! While it may seem "ordinary," this season is anything but. It's a time to grow steadily in holiness through the everyday moments of life.
