Ask A Bishop ASK A BISHOP's mission is to create media content to communicate the life of the Church through the lens of the bishops. No. www.AskABishop.com

We all have questions. As children, questioning was a process of learning and growing. As we get older, it seems that we question for the sake of questioning, and we argue with no real examination of our beliefs and opinions. Have we lost our child-like inquisitiveness? But perhaps we are a bit out of practice. The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It i

s the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good dead: His eyes are closed. (Albert Einstein)

On this website, our purpose is to open your eyes to the mysterious, your mind to seek truth, and your heart to desire to understand. Ultimately, to fully enter into the human experience. We all have questions about the Meaning of Life, Suffering, God, and Religion. They will be answered by Catholic Bishops here. For over two thousand years, we have had an unbroken line of Shepherds, starting with the apostle Peter, the first Bishop, to whom Jesus said You are rock, and upon this rock I will build my Church (Matthew 16:18). Through these Shepherds we hold the timeless treasure of the Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scriptures to guide us in truth and love. We invite everyone to join this dialogue, no matter what your background is. What would you like to ask a Bishop today?

R.I.P.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of Archbishop James P. Keleher, who passed away today at the age of 93. He was a great friend, mentor and wonderful shepherd who served as archbishop of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas for 11 years. I will miss him dearly.

Please join me in praying for Archbishop Keleher and for the comfort of the many people who knew and loved him.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
