In giving birth, you preserved your virginity. In falling asleep you did not forsake the world, O Theotokos. You were translated to life, O Mother of Life, and by your prayers, you deliver our souls from death (Troparion).

Neither the tomb, nor death, could hold the Theotokos, who is constant in prayer and our firm hope in her intercessions. For being the Mother of Life, she was translated to life, by the One who dwelt in her virginal womb (Kontakion).

Our Cathedral was honored this week to have his grace Bishop Vasily of San Francisco and the West serve the Hierarchical Vespers Wednesday evening and the Divine Liturgy this morning in celebration of the Feast of The Holy Transfiguration of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

To those behind the scenes who helped prepare for this week, we are so grateful for all of your hard work. It definitely hasn’t gone unnoticed!

☀️As with anything new, I know it can be a little uncomfortable not knowing what to expect. The goal of this is casual, fun fellowship. Just an easy mid-morning time for the ladies to get together! ☕️

👗Here is a little breakdown of what to expect as well as some ideas on what to bring. It’s a free event and no registration is required! Just show up with a few (or no) items and a small meal or snack to share with the other women. A section of the tables in the hall will be set apart for displaying the items. As we enjoy our food, women can browse and swap items freely and casually!
We do ask that at the end of the event, any items not swapped to be taken back home.
