Today we celebrate the freedom we are blessed to enjoy in this nation and give thanks for those who have sacrificed to protect it.

We are grateful for the freedoms we often cherish—freedom to gather, freedom to worship, and freedom to share the hope of Jesus with others.

As we celebrate America’s independence, may we also remember the greatest freedom of all is found in Christ.

Today is the day of Pentecost where the Church remembers the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. This is considered the birth of the Christian Church, and on that day, 3000 people were baptized. Today, we remember that the Holy Spirit continues to dwell in us to produce faith and good works in our lives. We thank God for this gift and all that He does in and through His Church.
