Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado Everyone welcome! We offer daily meditation & Buddhism in Denver, Boulder, and surrounding areas.

Our classes and events are open to everyone in all walks of life and from any faith or background. You don’t have to be a Buddhist to learn how to meditate or to benefit from it. Classes are suitable for beginners and those with previous experience.

Offering Our Faith: A Special Day of Retreat

Unguided Retreat

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. But on the auspicious day June 4 (Turning the Wheel of Dharma Day), at Kadampa Centres around the world, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer him our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

There will be three sessions of retreat using the sadhana The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Ta**ra and the special request prayer. And the last session of the retreat will conclude with Offering to the Spiritual Guide puja.

Note that this is an unguided retreat and you’re able to attend any session.

Schedule:

Thursday, June 4 (Foundation Program)

10:00 - 11:30am: Session 1
1:00 - 2:30pm: Session 2
4:00 - 5:30pm: Session 3
6:30 - 8:00pm: Session 4, Offering to the Spiritual Guide with tsog offering

Gen Kelsang Gomlam is an American Buddhist nun and the US Western National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition. She is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Center Colorado, and has been studying, practicing and teaching Kadam Dharma for many years. Gen Gomlam’s heartfelt and practical teachings are presented with warmth and humor, making them accessible to everyone. Through her loving kindness, sincere concern for others, and deep understanding of Buddha’s teachings, Gen Gomlam provides an inspiring example of someone who has taken Buddha’s teachings to heart.

Territory Days in Old Colorado City (COS)!

Our Colorado Springs branch class is rejoicing in opportunity to meet people today and plant seeds for dharma to flourish! Darlene was joined by local students and volunteers Katherine and Carolyn helping local street fair visitors know about our meditation class. Many visitors took some literature, a few signed up for our newsletter, and some books were sold. Thank you ladies for making it such a meaningful day!
