✨ Forgiving the Self and Freeing the Soul ✨

Why is it sometimes easier to forgive another person than to forgive ourselves?

In this Sunday’s message, Lori Smith invites us to release the guilt, shame, and self-condemnation that keep us bound to the past. Through the practice of radical self-forgiveness, we can listen to our story, honor our feelings, meet ourselves with compassion, and begin to see even our most difficult experiences through a new spiritual lens.

We are reminded that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. We may make imperfect choices, but our mistakes are not the truth of who we are. Beneath the voice of the inner judge lives the loving presence of the Christ within—the part of us that knows we are still whole, still worthy, and forever held in divine love.

God loves the whole of us: our beauty, our humanity, and even our growing edges.

May this message help you soften your heart, release what you have carried, and remember:

You are pure Spirit.
You are worthy of grace.
You are special.
And God adores you.

We invite you to watch, reflect, and share this service with someone who may need its healing message today. 💜

❤️ The Wisdom of the Heart ❤️

What if the strength we need to face life’s greatest challenges is already within us—not only in the thinking mind, but in the wisdom of the heart?

In this inspiring Sunday message from Unity on the Avenue, we explore how aligning the heart and mind can bring greater clarity, peace, resilience, and spiritual understanding. When difficulties arise, we have a choice: we can meet them with resistance, holding tightly to pain and disappointment, or we can respond with resilience—the divine capacity to learn, heal, rise, and transform.

The heart is more than a physical organ. It is a sanctuary of love, a center of spiritual intelligence, and a source of guidance that can carry us beyond fear and into hope. Through prayer, meditation, loving relationships, self-knowledge, and trust in our inner wisdom, even our hardest experiences can become turning points toward a deeper and more meaningful life.

Whatever you may be facing today, remember: within you lives an unconquerable spirit. You are not defined by what has happened to you. You possess the sacred strength to move from resistance to resilience, from surviving to thriving, and from uncertainty into the quiet knowing of your heart.

We invite you to watch this uplifting Sunday service, take a breath, open your heart, and reconnect with the divine wisdom already present within you.

If this message speaks to your heart, please share it with someone who may need encouragement today. ❤️

“We love you, we bless you, we appreciate you, and we behold the Christ in you.”

This Sunday at Unity on the Avenue, we explored the sacred practice of seeing beyond appearances to recognize the Divine presence within ourselves and one another.

Through Leo Tolstoy’s story of three humble hermits, we were reminded that spirituality is not found in saying the perfect words or following the perfect form. What matters most is the sincerity of the heart and our awareness of God—absolute good, everywhere present.

At the center of the message was one of Unity’s most transformative teachings: our very essence is of God, and therefore we are inherently good. “Christ in you, the hope of glory” is not merely a promise for the future. The Christ presence lives within us here and now, waiting to be recognized, embraced, and expressed.

To behold the Christ in another is to offer the gift of our full presence. It is to listen without judgment, to see another person’s infinite value and dignity, and to help them feel genuinely seen, heard, and loved. Like Fred Rogers, we can create a sacred space in which people are accepted just as they are. We can become “illuminators”—people whose loving attention brings forth the light in everyone around them.

We were also reminded of the extraordinary power of blessing. A blessing is more than a kind thought; it is love in action. When we bless another, we call forth the highest expression of their divine nature—even when that person may be difficult for us to love.

May we enter the week ahead with open hearts and spiritual eyes. May we behold the Christ within ourselves, recognize the face of God in one another, and allow our presence to remind every person we encounter of their sacred worth.

We love you. We bless you. We appreciate you. And we behold the Christ in you.
