This Sunday at Unity on the Avenue, we were blessed by a powerful message from guest speaker Rev. Darlene Strickland: "Being in the Flow of Divine Inspiration."

Drawing on the teachings of Rev. Eric Butterworth, Rev. Darlene reminded us that we are not separate from the Divine—we are expressions of it. Through inspiring stories of faith, perseverance, intuition, gratitude, and courageous action, she showed how spiritual growth happens when we become willing channels for God's presence in the world.

The message challenged us to move beyond simply hoping for change and instead partner with Spirit through our thoughts, choices, actions, and willingness to follow divine guidance. Whether through a simple act of kindness, a creative idea, a healing decision, or a step taken in faith, we become the place where God shows up.

As Rev. Darlene beautifully shared, abundance begins in consciousness, gratitude opens us to possibility, and miracles often arrive when we pray, trust, and move our feet.

May we remember this week that the Divine is already working within us, inspiring us, guiding us, and expressing itself through us every day.

✨ The Way of the Mystic ✨

What if the sacred isn't somewhere far away on a mountaintop—but right here, in the ordinary moments of everyday life?

This Sunday at Unity on the Avenue, we explored the wisdom of mystics from many traditions who remind us that divine presence can be found everywhere: in the beauty of nature, in moments of silence, in acts of compassion, in the laughter of a child, in the rhythm of our breath, and in the simple practice of being fully present.

Through stories, meditation, and spiritual insight, we were reminded that we are all capable of experiencing awe, wonder, and a deeper connection to Spirit. The mystic's path is not reserved for a select few—it is an invitation available to each of us. When we slow down, quiet the mind, and open the heart, we begin to recognize the sacred woven through every aspect of life.

May we move through this week with awakened eyes, open hearts, and a renewed awareness that we live, move, and have our being in Divine Love.

This Memorial Day gathering was a beautiful reminder that remembrance is not only about honoring those who served, but also about honoring the love, sacrifice, courage, and humanity that continue to live on through the people we’ve lost.

Through heartfelt stories, prayers, candles, and shared memories, our community came together to celebrate parents, spouses, veterans, friends, and loved ones whose lives created lasting ripples of kindness, service, and compassion. From military service to family devotion, each story reflected the deep connections that shape who we are and the healing that comes when we remember together.

May we continue to carry forward their love, their wisdom, and the peace they hoped to leave in this world. ❤️
