Trinity Presbyterian Church, USA

Trinity Presbyterian Church, USA Trinity Presbyterian is a welcoming congregation. We look forward to knowing you better. Trinity is a community that worships Jesus Christ.

Please contact us directly with any questions you may have via email - [email protected] We strive to love and accept others without regard to race, s*xual orientation, wealth, or status, because that is how we feel called to express our thanks to the God who first loved and accepted us. Our church:
- Blesses same s*x weddings, because we believe sacrificial love is from God.

- Welcomes women

and men, g**s and le****ns, old and young, into membership and leadership because we believe Christ has torn down the walls of division by which we divide ourselves from each other, and because God’s gifts are given to all.

- Founded and continues to support Opening Doors International Services (which assists immigrants through the immigration process and combats human trafficking) because we believe God welcomes the stranger and calls upon us to do the same.

- Has worked for racial reconciliation for decades and partners with St. James AME church today because we believe we cannot fully be reconciled to God if we are not reconciled to each other, and because racism makes God cry.

- Enjoys a historic friendship with the local mosque because we believe God’s love is not limited to Christians or to any other group of people, and because loving our neighbors calls us to know them.

- Receives 100 percent of its energy from renewable sources because we believe God calls us to be faithful stewards of God’s creation.

- Opposes weapons on its premises because we believe God calls us to be peacemakers, and because Christ modeled nonviolence and calls on us to do the same.

- Hosts annual gun violence forums because we believe hearing the stories of victims of gun violence is the first step towards ending our nation’s epidemic.

- Prays for each other because we believe God calls us to pray, and because our mutual concern witnesses to God’s acceptance in the midst of an often lonely and isolating world.

- Welcomes children in worship because we believe worship is for the entire family of God.

- Embraces art and music (with choirs, craft groups, and kids programs) because we believe God calls us to worship with our imagination and our senses.

- Welcomes the doubting in classes where questions are encouraged, because we believe the enemy of faith is not doubt but fear.

- Fosters contemplative prayer because we believe a life of faith is rooted in the practice of careful listening to the Holy Spirit within us.

- Hosts and supports Stepping Stones, a ministry to those suffering from Alzheimer and to their caregivers, because we believe the worth of no life is diminished by disease, and because we participate in divine communion whenever and wherever love is shared. Shalom,
Pastor Craig Hunter

Holy God, whose Spirit brings unity of purpose to people of faith from widely different backgrounds, bless the work of congregations in equipping us for Christian witness and service.

Holy One, let your Spirit, our Advocate, guide us—preserving us from judgment, protecting us from sin, and leading us into righteousness, so that we may testify to the good news: fullness of life and joy for all; through Jesus Christ our Savior and in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

Loving God, as we seek to serve you wherever we are planted, we ask you to help us bear fruit, to proclaim your good news and to share your love with others.

Palestinian Nakba Remembrance Day remembers the day that thousands of Palestinians experienced dispossession and became refugees on May 15, 1948. Seventy-eight years later, Palestinian people live under a consistent and systematic process of apartheid and face expulsion from their land. In response to the cries of our Palestinian Christian siblings, we have been calling for peace with justice since 1948. On Mother’s Day, we hold up strong women from the Bible who trusted that God would deliver their children, even as they embarked on journeys not always of their own choosing.

We remember Jochebed, who defied Pharoah’s edict to kill all newborn Hebrew boys by doing the only thing she could think of to save his life: placing her baby boy in a basket along the river Nile.

We remember Hagar, expelled from her homeland with her son Ishmael.

We remember Elizabeth, whose son felt called to leave home and preach a radical message that would challenge both the political and religious authorities of their day.

We remember Mary, who fled with her husband and newborn son to Egypt to escape infanticide. As Jesus grew, she watched him become a sojourner, knowing that she could not hold on to him.

We remember today’s Marys, whose sons and daughters have been disappeared, taken away by government forces, killed by conflict, forced to hide, or leave their countries for their very survival.

In the name of all these mothers, we pray, asking for God's blessings on those who mourn, bringing them peace and comfort in times of darkness.
