Denton CUUPS is offering an Intro to Tarot class with John Beckett!
Are you interested in Tarot, but don’t know where to start? Have you had a reading or two and would like to learn to read for yourself – and for others? Have you been trying to read Tarot for some time, but are struggling to learn to read from books and websites? Whatever your reasons, Denton CUUPS invites you to join us for a four week in-person class on Tarot for divination.
Where: Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
When: Tuesday evenings, April 14 - May 5, 7-9pm
Cost: $40 for Denton CUUPS members, $60 for non-members
Agenda
April 14: Tarot: History, Theory, and Practices
April 21: The Major Arcana
April 28: The Minor Arcana
May 5: The Art of Reading
Each class will include hands-on practice, and students are encouraged to continue practicing during the week
Decks
You will need your own Tarot deck – please bring it to class. You are strongly encouraged to use a deck based on the Waite-Smith system. Instruction will mainly be with three decks: Waite-Smith, Robin Wood, and Celtic Tarot (multiple decks are called “Celtic Tarot” – this is the 2017 deck by Kristopher Hughes).
