We’re so excited for a special Youth service tonight with our DWC Students friends. Join us for a prayer experience in our Hut and afterwards fellowship and food at Bombay Park.

Youth starts at 5:30 - we hope to see you there!

DWC Prayer Experience Sunday!🙌🏼

Our prayer experience is tomorrow March 30th and will begin at 5:30pm. This event will be at Denton Central United Methodist Church in the hut! This will be a time of prayer and reflection for students. After we will have a time of worship with one another and praise God!!🩵

We will be going to Bombay park in Denton afterwards to eat with one another, play pickleball, volleyball, basketball, hangout, and enjoy being with one another!

We can’t wait to see you all the there!

Come out this Saturday to support our local kids and youth!

Quest Camp is a Christian retreat sponsored by Central UMC-Denton and Denton Wesleyan Church. And more than that, it's an opportunity for young Christians to build a bigger community amongst themselves. Funds raised at these events will go towards sponsoring our young people to attend and making our retreat the best experience!

Service is always at the heart of our Central UMC-Denton Youth. So, at our booth at the Denton Fall Festival, we passed out free boxes of food items and a Halloween plushie. Together we passed out nearly 200 boxes in a few short hours!

But this was only possible because of our wonderful Youth, our Youth families, and our Youth volunteers! Between writing encouraging messages, packing, setting up our booth, and distributing boxes, there was a lot of work to do - but plenty of willing hands to help too! Over a dozen folks signed on to help give to our community’s children.

We’re so thankful for our Youth and the many awesome people who support them!

We're in the spookiest season and what better way to celebrate than a haunted house?!

On October 19th, our Youth will join forces with our friends at DWC Students to brave the Scream Dreams attraction. Located in Castle Boo in Thomasville, we'll explore 50 rooms and hallways over 23,000 square feet of terror!

Late Friday night, our Central UMC-Denton Youth joined forces with our friends at DWC Students for a good old-fashioned church lock-in! From 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. we played games, competed in teams, ate midnight breakfast, worshipped in the chapel, painted beautiful artwork, and above all had great fellowship. Seriously, we did too many fun things to list in this post. Together, we brought in twenty youth to make some amazing memories.

Of course, nine hours of fun requires a lot of hands. A massive shout out goes to our adult volunteers who braved the chaos and late hours to help facilitate games, keep our youth safe and excited, and cook our midnight breakfast. Another shout-out goes to all our youth families who dropped off their youth and woke up bright and early for sunrise pick-up. We're grateful too for our hosting home church Central UMC-Denton, NC who opened their space for our big group.

And of course, thanks to all the youth who made the night so awesome, bringing good vibes and good friends. Our crew was pretty cool!

We can't brag on our Youth enough. Last Sunday in Youth, we were in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 4. Going over the famous tale of Jesus preaching to the fishermen at the Sea of Galilee, we set our intention to truly become "fishers of men" - Christians willing and able to seek out those who need Christ in their lives and bring them in. We're so proud of our Youth for embodying that idea this weekend. They brought new folks to this lock-in and are helping build an amazing community of young people here in Denton.

Last Tuesday our Central UMC-Denton Youth participated in the Fall Litter Sweep, organized by Denton, NC Parks and Recreation. We’re so proud of our Youth for helping clean our community!

It's fall y'all! Here's our Youth schedule through October with more details to come.

Our first two events are coming up soon. On Sept. 17 we'll be helping clean our community as volunteers. We'll start at Harrison Park downtown at 5:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!

Alongside our friends at DWC Students, our 34-strong group had an absolute blast at Carowinds! It was awesome sharing new experiences and building new friendships together. What better way to spend a Tuesday with the Youth than plunging 325 feet at 95 mph!

The fun’s not over this week - reminder that we’re joining in Base Camp this Thursday through Sunday to support local missions work. If you’re not signed up or on the fence about joining, reach out to us for more info!

Our group joined up with our friends DWC Students for some fun in the sun at a pool party. Shout out to the wonderful folks who donated food and snacks for our Youth to enjoy!

Our fun continues next month with a movie night, lunch at Subway, and a trip to Carowinds - join us and bring a friend!
