TIME FOR A BREAK: After 40 years of non-stop ministry (with 20 of those years spent here in Maine), and a long conversation with our Bishop, we have been granted episcopal permission and authority for a long-needed sabbatical. A 'sabbatical' is a term that means time off from all church related activities so that we can seek the Lord's rest and refreshing. The Bishop has also made this an 'indefinite' sabbatical until the Holy Spirit releases us from this time of rest. We have been running on fumes for quite some time, and we really need this break. While there are no scheduled services, we will, of course, respond to pastoral emergencies. Continue to pray for us as we use this time seek the Lord's will on how to faithfully return to our original calling for Saint Brendan's (and Holy Trinity Chapel's role in that ministry) when we first moved here--that we don't add to or detract from the Lord's will. We love you all. Rejoice!
