A Grief Support Gathering hosted by the Circle of Faith Churches will be held Sunday, September 13 at St. James Church in Cooperstown from noon until 2:00pm. The topic is Where Are You God in the Midst of my Grief? As faith questions arise during the agonizing times after the death of a loved one, a person might ask, How can I pray when I hurt so much? What do I do when the ways I used to pray don’t work anymore? This session will help us see that God is not only the God of the sufferers, but the God who suffers, and can provide comfort to those in the midst of grief. Participants may attend in person or through a Zoom call to join in from any other location. To receive the Zoom link contact Tom Bekkers at [email protected], or by phone at 920-660-8066. No reservations are needed ,and there is no cost.

This August 30 bulletin for St. James and St. Joseph Parishes comes with reminders about scam emails or texts from Fr. Brian or Bp. Ricken. These “phishing” communications are explained on the top of page 2 and come with advice about what to do if you think you have received one of them.
